"So I’m driving down the road this morning and the cars in front of me are driving over a black thing in the road. It’s going between their tires so I’m guessing it’s a box. It’s a kitten just sitting upright shaking like a leaf. And some as***le had spread glue on its paws and stuck it to the road. I thought maybe it walked through glue somewhere but after looking at it, that was totally spread into her paws. She was wet and freezing and literally glued to the road. And NO ONE STOPPED. 😳 What the f$&k people??? I slammed on my brakes and stopped all the traffic and put my hazards on and got out and pealed her off the road. People were honking and all pissy....really??? It’s a kitten glued to the road!! So after a goo gone bath and some food and cream we have a new kitten. Luckiest kitten in the world!"

He is looking for a good active home. He loves car rides, hikes and walks. He loves the outside and is an outside dog. You will catch him playing in the snow. He is good around chickens, goats, horses and I believe cats. He loves attention!

Health benefits of spices and how to use them.

When it comes to spices, I usually buy more than I need, but at least I know if I run out of one, I can replace it with what I have stored away. To be honest, I never really paid attention to the health benefits of spices until I was first diagnosed with cancer in 2012. Since then, I learned which ones were more beneficial for me so that I would try to use them more often.

This chart is a great tool to let you know the benefits of many spices you may have in your cupboard and how to use them when cooking. I have a chart very similar to this one that is taped to the inside of my spice cabinet to reference when I need to. I've had a dry cough for a few days now, so I fixed some onion soup to help sooth it. Works great every time to ease my cough.

I'm so happy that you are looking at her pictures. She is even better looking in person! Everyone loves her! I have been told that she has a beautiful coat. Just look at her! Just think of all the fun things you two can do together. You can shop for chew toys together, collar and leash, treats, or take long walks in the mountains, go camping, go to the beach, go swimming, she could play in the yard with your children it you have any, or just stay at home and watch a good movie on TV with her by your side. French Onion Soup

I hope y'all are having a great day, it's cold here so I'm hoping Fall shows back up soon as I am not ready for Winter temps. just yet. Soup always warms me up when I am cold, and this french onion soup hit the spot. What I like about this recipe is it works for 1-2 people and it's really easy to make. Don't rush the onions, they need to caramelize to give the soup a depth of flavor.

One of Nannie Polly's cold remedies was a simple onion soup which was some onions cooked in bacon grease till tender then some beef broth was added to them. That's it, but it sure did help with a nasty cold. My cold is still lingering, better, but lingering and this bowl of soup was very soothing and cheesy, y'all know I love my cheese. Years back when I was still living in Georgia, the company I worked for took us all out to lunch for a meeting. I ordered french onion soup as part of my meal and when I got back to the office I stopped in the restroom and when I looked in the mirror, I had stringy cheese hanging from the bottom of my chin. I just about killed over thinking that cheese hanging from my face had been there through that entire meeting and a crowded elevator ride up to my office. Since no one bothered to tell me about it, I must have worn it well.

French Onion Soup

2 T. butter
2 medium onions, peeled, halved and thinly sliced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. all purpose flour
15 oz. can beef broth
1/4 C. water
1 tsp. worcstershire sauce
1 small bay leaf
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 thick slices of bread, toasted (1 slice if making 1 serving)
4 slices swiss cheese (2 slices if making 1 serving)

Heat the butter in a pot over medium high heat. Add the onions and salt and reduce the heat to medium low, cooking and stirring often, for 25-30 minutes. The onions should be nice and caramelized. Stir in the flour to combine then add the next 7 ingredients. Raise the heat to medium and cook for 15 minutes. Heat your broiler to high. Remove the bay leaf and adjust salt to taste. Ladle the soup into an oven proof crock(s), top with the toasted bread and sliced cheese. Put the crock(s) on a baking sheet and pop under the broiler till cheese is melted and bubbling.
