Managing a top hunter/jumper barn in Wellington for many years, Carly came to Horseflight with a proficient understanding of what it takes to manage a sport horse during all stages of its career. Initially starting with us part-time helping with imports/exports at MIA, her knowledge and assertive nature quickly advanced her to a full-time position in 2022. Carly now leads our domestic operations, handling all logistics of the transportation process, as well as flies as one of the two personal grooms on many of the flights. With strong communication skills and a keen eye for horse safety, Carly establishes trust with our clients at the very start of each shipment.

Our very own married her best friend during a dreamy ocean front ceremony on February 2nd, officiated by none other than himself. Vanaf 1 januari 2024 is het niet meer mogelijk om zelf uw paard te registreren via de RVO-website. Vanaf die datum moet de registratie worden uitgevoerd door een paspoort uitgevende instantie. Dit kan tot 15 dagen duren en brengt kosten met zich mee.
Voor paarden die langer dan 30 dagen in Nederland verblijven, is RVO-registratie verplicht. Indien uw paard langer dan 30 dagen in Nederland verblijft maar niet in de RVO staat geregistreerd kan uw paard geen gezondheidspapieren krijgen voor export. Om problemen te voorkomen, raden wij aan uw paarden vóór 1 januari zelf nog te registreren. 🗓️🐎

🐴 Important Announcement‼️
Starting January 1, 2024, it will not be possible to register your horses in the RVO yourself anymore. From that date, registration must be handled by a passport-issuing entity. This may take up to 15 days and involve costs.
For horses residing in the Netherlands for over 30 days, RVO registration is mandatory. If your horse is in the Netherlands for 30 days or more without the registration, your horse cannot receive health papers for export. To avoid issues, we recommend registering your horses yourself before Januari 1, 2024. 🗓️🐎

☑️ Check if your horse is already registered using the search function at: https://www.rvo.nl/onderwerpen/identificatie-en-registratie-dieren/regels-paardenhouder.
Under the section "Paardenpaspoort en chip", select "Zoeken op Chipnummer."

📌Did you know about these (new) rules?

It's necessary to have the right details for export in Europe registered in TRACES. When applying for TRACES do the export adress - destination - place of loading and transporter need to be marked as valid in TRACES.

Please note by registering as valid transporter it needs to obtain a Valid Certificate of Competence and a Type 1 or 2 to be able to transport horses unless you drive less than 65km!.

Also - horses need to be registered under a valid UBN number in the database now a days!

2021 Shire c**t

Bred in Sweden 🇸🇪, this 23 month old c**t made the overseas journey from Belgium to New York this week, releasing quarantine just yesterday. Herkules Pilgrim is being welcomed by long time client Soaring Eagle Farms in Springfield, Missouri, where he will join their current Shire herd and help to expand and develop the breed in the USA.

Already established as a top producer of Clydesdales, Soaring 🦅 Farms owns one of the largest purebred herds in the world and owner, Dr. Jeff Gower, is an inductee of the Clydesdale Breeders of the USA (CBUSA) Heritage Hall of Fame. The farm’s Clydesdales and Shires have extensive top show results 🥇 both in hand and driving. We look forward to following Herkules Pilgrim as he joins this impressive legacy.

With close to a decade working for Horseflight, Devon has established herself as a key force for running the business and managing all export operations. Devon’s passion for horses was cultivated initially by her mother as she worked along side her, learning how to manage and train green/problem horses. She then went on to major in Equine Studies with a minor in marketing, eventually working for several top show barns on the east coast. With a lifetime of equine experience, Devon makes it her priority to establish the safest, easiest transport plan for each and every horse, while maintaining a high functioning business.
