Volunteer rescuer, Jen S. has had success in catching the pup, Bennie, from the NTW complex. Long Ole road but finally done. Great job, Jen & family, for all the hard work.
Tomorrow he will be headed to Babinski rescue in Pequot Lakes for rehab and onto a furrever home.
Today our awesome Missy went on a cat rescue. Which landed her in a tree with no easy way down. Never a dull moment.

Here is Petey's story....
He was wandering and homeless. A kind person offered him food, so he decided to hang out for a bit. Unfortunately, he got into a tussle with a porcupine. Big thank you to the people who found a way to bring this pup to our clinic. That is where he got the name Petey and got the quills out, chipped and his shots! Miigwetch to all that helped this soul find his way!
This is Gorgy's intake video from when CJ brought her to us. She was very thin. Full of infection. Couldn't eat or drink properly. And was found outside beginning of October 2022. Freezing. She had a broken jaw. We took her in. Got her seen by the vet right away. Pain meds. And a safe warm place to lay her head. Gorgy thrived. And eve. Started putting some weight on.
Tomorrow Gorgy will be going to Pet Haven. They found a foster for her that is a purrfect fit.
🐾🐾 CJ YOU ROCK!!! 🐾🐾 CJ brought this poor girl in to us yesterday. She has a horrible injury that is healed on her bottom jaw. She cannot lap up water. And cannot chew properly. She does not appear to be in pain at this this time. Thankfully. She is in a special needs foster at this time soaking up some much needed attention & love.
As you can see in the video, she is very comfortable in CJ'S arms. CJ has a gift with the animals. Many many thank yous, miigwetch, woofs, meows, & howls for being there for the animals! You are doing a paawsome job!
Here's the snapper rescue & his lunch that animal control CJ did
This video is only 1 second long, but you can clearly see the CH walk. Dreamer is keeping her food down so far. Small amounts of food every few hours. When it comes to feeding a cat found in this shape, baby steps take on a whole new meaning. More food at each feeding as she improves. Dreamer was warm & dry last night safely snug in foster. And today I got to hear her purr. What a sweetheart
We got a call tonight about a stray cat who was attacked by dogs. They thought it had been hit by a car because it wasn't walking right. After assessment we discovered that this sweet heartbeat is a very friendly little girl who has mild to moderate Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). She is also very thin & has been without proper food & water for quite awhile. Her hair loss is from starvation. It is not mange. She does have bite marks all over her from dogs. She is safe & settled in nicely in a foster home now. Tonight we have serious weather in the area so getting her in before the rain probably saved her life. Her heartbeat matters 💗 🐾
