What a turnout! Thanks to the dedicated veterinarian and our hardworking volunteers, we were able to make a big impact yesterday in our pet community:

🐾47 Rabies Vaccines
🐾 55 Distemper Vaccines
🐾 2,000 lb Dog Food Distributed
🐾 1,000 lb Cat Food Distributed

MISSING CAT!!!

This guy's name is Waylon. He lives about a mile north of the Floyd Lake area. Up around the Bakke Church on N. Richwood Road. He went wandering on Monday. And hasn't made it home yet. He is very friendly. Birthday is June 2023. Waylon is all black, neutered & up to date on shots. No chip though. His family really misses him. If you find him, please text or call 218.401.4398. We will contact his people.

As many of you know, WE R Furr is a completely volunteer-based organization. Every service we provide is made possible by the generous time and effort of our amazing volunteers. Unfortunately, due to a shortage of volunteers, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to scale back some of our services.

For now, we will focus on continuing these services that are important for the well-being of our furry friends:

🐾 Pet supply distribution

But to keep making a difference in our community, we need your help! If you love animals and have some free time, please consider volunteering with us at WE R Furr.

Saturday, July 13th 9am-1pm we are having a microchip clinic and are also offering nail trims and ear cleaning by Archer Grooming Co.!

Microchips will be done on a walk-in basis. If you would like to have your dog's nails trimmed or ears cleaned, we will require an appointment. To schedule an appointment, please email [email protected].

Microchipping your pets is one of the best and easiest forms of identification! The first thing we check for when a stray animal comes in is a microchip. If your pet is microchipped, we can get them home to you faster!

Volunteer rescuer, Jen S. has had success in catching the pup, Bennie, from the NTW complex. Long Ole road but finally done. Great job, Jen & family, for all the hard work. Tomorrow he will be headed to Babinski rescue in Pequot Lakes for rehab and onto a furrever home.
