Keep the treats to yourself please!
All that candy.... most have chocolate, raisins, xylitol, something that is harmful if not fatal!! If you want to treat your pup, be sure it’s safe!

Costumes.... many dogs don’t appreciate a person in costume as much as we do. They react badly because they don’t understand. Please keep them away from the door on Trick or Treat night if you’re not positive they’ll be ok with all the little goblins.

Your pup is dressing up for the stroll around the neighborhood? AWESOME!! Please make sure they’re not overheating, or uncomfortable and enjoy the evening!

Feel free to share pics here of your pups in costume! I’d love to see them!!

Biggest or most frequent training mistakes happen with poor communication and consistency. Being clear, consistent, and following through while training is vital.
Practice, practice, practice!! Start in a quiet, comfortable environment with no distractions and build up from there.

Rewarding good behavior in the tub is the fastest way to get them to love it! It makes your life easier too when they don’t flop like fish trying to get out! 🤣

New trick, command, or situation? Take it slow, you AND your dog should be ready! Confident, comfortable, and in control. Always teach “ new” in a calm, comfortable, and low distraction environment. Set them up for success, it makes their desire to learn greater, keeps their confidence high, and makes it a fun, bonding, trust building experience.

HOT!!!!
With warmer weather approaching, please,please, please..... keep in mind the effects it has on your dog! Roadways, sidewalks, agility equipment, and more can get hot in the sun and burn your dog, test the temperature with the back of your hand , if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them. Cars.... don’t leave them in a hot car, it’s just that simple!! Watch for signs of heat related problems, if you don’t know them, message me, we can go over it. Lots of water, shade, and breaks.

Fast eater? Choking on their food? Try a maze bowl! It slows them down, makes them “ work” for it. Better for their stomach and digestive system when they can’t inhale a meal. Makes meal time more fun!
