A lot of you have been on my journey of my dad with early onset dementia. It’s been 15 years since his diagnosis and almost 4 years on hospice. I am sad yet peaceful telling you that he passed away Saturday.
He was the BEST dad…he was loving and kind and let my brother and I experience so many things. He built half of our home and countless remodels to it. He was patient with all my animal antics like bringing home countless stray kittens, baby birds and more. He turned a blind eye to the small animals that filled my room. Parakeets, aquariums with hamsters, turtles fish and more. He loved my mom with a force you rarely see. They were high school sweet hearts and married for 58 years.
The best gift my dad ever gave me was my resilience. He never got upset or stressed when we wanted to try new things or messed things up. When literally everyone was wringing their hands so stressed and worried when we said we wanted to open our own shop he said “you’ll do great and if it doesn’t work you can try again”. He just had absolute faith in me to figure it out and be successful in whatever I did. He got to work with his brother and my cousins to help us remodel the shop it is today. I owe my dad my unwavering confidence in my self because he always told me I could do anything and was proud of me.
I have a huge whole in my heart and I miss his teddy bear hugs and words of advice but I’m happy he isn’t in pain anymore. ❤️

Like any group of foods for pets or humans there will be recalls. As of right now it seems like cats might be more susceptible to the bird flu through their diet. If this is a worry for you please feel free to DM me for options for your cats.
Switching to a lightly cooked diet or high quality canned food can be an option to alleviate your worries. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with what you feed your pets.
