pulse oximetry. We offer digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, basic laboratory and in-house blood work – so we have answers you can count on, when you need them most. Alex Erickson received his DVM from UC Davis in 2008 and is a second generation veterinarian. He grew up in Los Banos, California, where he lived next door to and worked in his dad's veterinary clinic pretty much from the time he could walk. He worked in Sonora, CA for 7 years, practicing small animal medicine before becoming the proud owner of Cambria Veterinary Clinic in January 2016. She grew up in Carlsbad, California where her love for horses inspired her career to become a veterinarian. She started practice as an equine veterinarian at Pioneer Equine Hospital in Oakdale, before becoming a mixed animal veterinarian in Sonora for 5 years before moving to Cambria. In 2017 she completed training and certification in medical acupuncture through the Curacore institute. Alex and Casey have two children, Nora and Tommy, two dogs named Lucy and Zora, a cat named Lloyd and two horses named Kelly and Artie.

Walk Your Dog Month is an National observance celebrated in January to highlight the importance of regular exercise and outdoor activity for dogs. This month-long event encourages dog owners to make a commitment to walk their furry friends more often, providing numerous physical and mental benefits for both dogs and their owners. It’s an opportunity to promote canine health, strengthen the bond between dogs and their caregivers, and enjoy the great outdoors together πŸ’šπŸ’™

Thank you to our clients who answered the call and donated for the displaced LA fire victims yesterday! We filled our entire car and SUV with donations for pets (and people) and dropped them off at this morning! Huge shout out to Jenn Foss .the.barn.consignment who has worked tirelessly to coordinate donations and transporters for tomorrow’s trip to LA. They have 4 truck/trailers and multiple SUV’s heading down to the LA Equestrian Center, a small animal evacuation center and an evacuation center for people as well. Follow them on Instagram or Facebook for more updates!

Happy first day of winter! We are so lucky to live here on the Central Coast with our wonderful winter weather! According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the first day of winter is marked by the winter solstice, which occurs at 4:21 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21. The winter solstice is the day with the fewest hours of sunlight or the shortest day of the year. Winter will last until the spring equinox at 11:06 p.m. on March 19. We know you want to show off your pet in their winter outfits. Leave them in the comments for all to see πŸ’šπŸ’™

Say 'hi' to handsome Thomas!! Thomas was very sick in September and ended up having surgery with Dr. Casey. Biopsies revealed he had an intestinal form of lymphoma. Luckily, Thomas has responded very well to medical therapy and is still happy to come in for his rechecks! This form of cancer in cats can often respond favorably to medical therapy and cats can often have a good quality of life for years to come. We are hopeful for many more years with Thomas! πŸ’šπŸ’™
