Let me introduce to you Rocco. Born December 25th 21’ and crossed the rainbow bridge June 23rd, 24’.
Rocco entered my life at my lowest point. I watched him grow from a tiny little baby to the magnificence dog he came to be. Believe it or not I used to be afraid of dogs (ironic isn’t it?) but he and his sister Lucy definitely trained me on how to be a good dog person😂 Rocco passed away yesterday suddenly and was ripped away from all our lives. I am absolutely heartbroken, destroyed, and angry. Grief is powerful. He was the best boy. He was so anxious, but even more brave. He was loving, and crazy, and was in a constant state of “zoomies”. I’ll miss his big silly face, his loud bark, his long curious sniffs in my face, his beautiful brown eyes, and his cute little trot.
Hug your fur babies extra tight, cherish the time you have, and appreciate the time you have.
I didn’t get to see Rocco as much anymore but I saw him every chance I could get. He affected all our lives in the most positive way. He saved my life in a way. I never knew I wanted to be a Dog Groomer until I met him. He taught me to not be afraid, but to be extra loving, patient, and tolerant to all dogs and animals but especially the anxious ones! I love my career, and I love all your pups. Just know I understand completely the deep pain of losing our dogs, cats, animals. They are family. They’re there for us when no one else is. They pick us up when we’re down, and love us in any form we come.

‼️LAST DAY‼️
These were the last few pups I groomed today. Again, it truly has been a pleasure working with the pups of the Southend🖤 It’s a bittersweet ending. (I definitely SOBBED and ugly cried all the way home today). But when one door closes another one opens!!

Thank you all for your loyalty, kindness, love, trust, connection, and fur babies!!

Hopefully I see some of you guys at the next place. (More will be revealed). 😉

Good morning! It is with deep sadness I announce that Dog Butlers is shutting their doors. And my last day grooming here will be June 7th.

I have worked here the last year and some change, and it has been such an honor and privilege working with your babies, and servicing the South-end pups!

When I originally left a corporate salon I was scared. I didn’t think I was good enough, I thought I would never get better or succeed. But when I got here I was taken in happily. I was showed love, appreciation and grace. I’ve learned so much the last year and for that I am eternally grateful.

Our bathers have been exceptional, my manager/co owner has been the best manager I’ve ever had and I truly appreciate our friendship.

Working side by side with .by.katie and has taught me so much. The talent I’ve witnessed has helped me become a better groomer myself.

And the dogs! I can not name all of them, or post every single picture, but I love all your dogs as if they were my own! It truly has been a pleasure working here. There have been hard times, challenges, long days, stressful moments, but my coworkers have always been there to pick me up when I was struggling.

Having confidence as a groomer is 80% of the job! And I can say today I have confidence. This career is a career you’re always learning and growing and I try my best to do that.

Thank you to all the clients who have reached out to me personally, and are so loyal to me! I am so surprised by the amount of love I have received from you all, and I look forward to starting this new chapter with you!

A time lapse of a matted baby getting shaved down! I couldn’t get it all on camera, but it took a ✨long time✨I know it may look quick & easy but when they’re hair is pelted to the skin you have to get it off safely, meanwhile going slow as to not cut them or irritate their skin. Brushing & combing the coat 3-4 times a week especially with curlier coats helps prevent these tangles! These mats can get super uncomfortable for them so it’s best to have your pup groomed every 6-8 weeks! Even shorter for longer coats. Please follow along for more tips and tricks to keep your pups long and luscious!
