A message from Dr. Linda Heaton:

I am sad to announce that Cambridge
VetCare Animal Clinic will be closing on
December 15, 2023 and I will be retiring. It
was a difficult decision to make. I have
loved working with all the wonderful pets
and clients over the years and will miss you
all deeply.

Retirement will give me the opportunity to
visit my grandchildren more frequently. I will
be able to enjoy my hobbies of dog agility,
painting, and quilting.
I will miss you and your wonderful pets
every day. Thank you for being my clients
and friends.

You can request a copy of your records to
be emailed to you by calling the clinic at
763-689-0095. If needed, we can also
arrange to have you pick up the records at
the clinic.

On this World Hello Day, let's celebrate the art of friendly
greetings, especially when it comes to our furry companions! As
Thanksgiving approaches and family and friends gather, here are
some tips to help your pets say "hello" to new people with
confidence. πŸ‚πŸ‘ͺ
Gradual Introduction: Ease your pet into meeting new faces.
Start with a calm, one-on-one encounter before introducing them
to a larger group.
Positive Associations: Encourage a positive association by
offering treats, praise, and pets during introductions.
Observe Body Language: Pay attention to your pet's body
language. Look for signs of comfort or stress and adjust the
introduction accordingly.
Quiet Space: Provide a quiet, comfortable space where your pet
can retreat to if they need a break from socializing.
Supervision: Always supervise interactions between pets and
new people to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable.
By following these tips, you'll help your pets enjoy the company of
guests during the holiday season. Here's to creating warm and
welcoming moments for both human and furry family members.

πŸ¦ƒπŸΎ Thanksgiving Pet Safety Reminders πŸ‚πŸ‘
As we prepare for a day of gratitude and feasting, let's remember to keep our furry family members safe and sound. Here are some Thanksgiving pet safety tips to ensure a wonderful celebration for all!πŸ•πŸˆ
Secure the Trash: Delicious smells can tempt curious noses. Make sure your trash is tightly sealed and out of reach to prevent any sneaky feasts.
Create a Safe Space: Thanksgiving gatherings can be overwhelming for pets. Provide them with a quiet, comfortable space to retreat to when they need a break from the hustle and bustle. Watch What They Eat: Many human foods are not suitable for pets.
Avoid feeding them turkey bones, fatty or spicy dishes, and foods containing garlic, onions, or grapes. No Dessert for Pets: Sweets, especially those containing xylitol,
chocolate, or raisins, are a no-no for pets. Keep them out of paw's reach.
Be Cautious with Guests: Remind your guests not to share their meal with your pets. Some pets may have food allergies or sensitivities. Stress-Free Decorations: Secure decorations, tablecloths, and candles to prevent accidents or playful paw swipes.
Stay on Schedule: Maintain your pet's regular feeding and exercise routine to keep them comfortable and happy. We wish you and your furry friends a safe and joyful Thanksgiving. If you have any questions or concerns about pet safety during the
holiday, don't hesitate to reach out. 🧑🦴
