(1)

Equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP) focuses on those with mental or substance use disorders, cognitive issues, and other disorders. While still a form of “talk” therapy, EAP allows clients to use multiple senses while identifying and processing emotional issues. The outdoor environment and use of animals lend a unique, positive dimension to the experience. During each session, clients may ride or

otherwise work with horses while a mental health professional helps the individual process certain emotions. Participants usually learn all aspects of horse care, including grooming, saddling and riding.

In the partnership between a rider and their horse, harmony is found in the rhythm of trust, the melody of understanding, and the dance of unconditional connection.🐴💫

I have to admit that Ireally love this picture. It shows the inner beauty of all these girls. Today they were feeding horses, giving out hay, scrubbing water troughs and yet they still had time to stop and pick flowers 🌺 after a long afternoon of riding horses 🐎

Sadly we haven’t seen our lovable Nelly in a bit over a week. I’m hoping the coyotes didn’t get her since they have been very active this year. She is clipped, vaccinated, and very loved. If you happen to see her please let us know.

So much to be grateful of this year. Thank you Thank you to all those who have cared, worked, and loved these wonderful animals.
None of this could be here without you.
It’s a blessing to see so many people receiving the help they need, smiles on the faces when they touch a horse for the first time, and kids enjoying being on a horse and competing. Can’t wait to see what 2023 brings to light. 💕

Animals are just as emotionally sensitive as humans
Our girl Ashley the Cow lost her twin babies 4 weeks ago at birth. The devastation she felt was seen and felt by all of us. She hardly moved, and would stay where the first calf was born.
Luckily, a neighboring farm recently had baby calf that needed a new home. We jumped at the opportunity to bring this bundle of joy home. Now mama and her adopted baby are like there was never a loss. Facebook friends and family, I would like to introduce baby Rocket
