Crowe Animal Shelter was founded in 1970, by the Rev. In 1999, the Kershaw County Humane Society took over the management and operations of the shelter and in 2015 relocated to our Black River Road location. Now named the Thiel Meyer Adoption Center.

We have 4 kittens aged at approximately 2 weeks old! The mother is not doing too well and is not interested in feeding them.

We are hoping to find a foster for these kittens for at least 2 weeks.

Oakley is truly a one of a kind in a smaller package! With his gorgeous brindle coat and his loving and bubbly personality, he would fit into anyone’s family and lifestyle. This boy would try to make friends with a fly if he could. Oakley is a firm believer in play hard nap hard! After a long day of playing with his friend Keeva, he curls up and takes a nice long nap! Hes always happy to meet new friends regardless if they have 2 legs or 4!
This handsome boy has excellent leash manners and enjoys going on walks and/or runs with anyone willing to take him out.

We are looking for an experinced adopter for Luna!

Luna is a 2 year old Rottie (with a tail)! This girl is beautiful inside and out and she would thrive with an owner or family who knows this breed and what they need- She is fully vetted and heartworm negative, she walks amazing on a leash and loves all people. She gets on well with other dogs but likes to be the leader of the pack. She really needs out of the shelter environment and in to a loving home!

Charlie 🐾❤️🐈

This handsome guy is 6 years old and came to us recently as an owner surrender. Sadly the owner became allergic to cats and had to surrender him as well as a couple other cats. Charlie lived with 3 other cats and did great. He also loves children.

This affectionate guy is a littly shy at first but once you pet him he warms up quickly. Charlie has so much love to give and would be great for any family!
