Proud of Cash at day camp working on his leash skills. We worked on leash ≠ excitement, practicing pressure on/off with directional changes, 180° drills, and following the leader! Structured Day Camp at WiggleButts! 🐶 Training opportunities, proper socialization, enrichment, walks, & more! Fostering a calm state of mind during training and around well balanced dogs. This is for dogs to sharpen their skills as well as have time to play with the dogs in the pack in a safe and fun environment. Day camp is for the owners who will work on skills at home as well us practicing at Day Camp! Your dog will be very successful if skills are implemented at home that are worked on at day camp! Kennel training for the win! 🐶🧡 Using the kennel helps with a calmer state of mind, a safe place for your dog to be (when your home or not), lessens the wandering around the house getting into trouble, window watching and so much more!

Tough love conversations.. Being a rescue or shelter dog is not an excuse for bad behavior.

It’s all about the progress! For us, it doesnt have to be perfect right at the beginning. The pups are learning! This is something completely new & they are learning a new expectation.

Crazy isn’t cute 🤪 Asher’s family couldn’t enjoy watching tv peacefully because of this behavior. Barking and reacting at the tv is definitely not allowed or cute. We changed that mindset by adding place into the mix and making barking at the tv a nonnegotiable. Again super proud of them!

Just because it’s spooky season, doesn’t mean your dogs behavior has to be scary. 👻 If you are looking to change your relationship with your dog and implement a calmer state of mind and more engagement with your dog, start off simple, with threshold drills. This means no rushing out of the kennel, out any doors, or through any gates, or whatever you deem a threshold in your life. Have your dog wait and look for that I contact to acknowledge, “hey what are we doing next” and then giving a release. be consistent and see what happens for your dogs state of mind! Look at her calm confidence with Simba! She took direction so well when working with Simba at their go home session! Kids just naturally get it! (Better than adults sometimes 😂😉)

With just a swap in gear, and practicing some 180 drills we got Bones in a rhythm & not even worrying about Stella being on the other side, when in the beginning he was super nosey to see her & being reactive on the leash!

All dogs need training opportunities! Big or small! They are all capable! 🐶🧡

Rusty Paws Grooming told me Ariya had a hard time getting into the tub at her grooming shop, so I obviously improvised & used a bathtub at home. We practiced getting in & out and using the words “in” and a release word of ”break” she was more comfortable getting in and out! Hoping to take her on a field trip soon to practice at the groomers!
