🎉🐾 Another fun-filled day at day camp with playgroups, skills, treadmill time, and fulfillment! But today was a little bittersweet as we celebrated OB’s going away party. 🐶✨

OB is a true staple member of our pack, always eager to hit the treadmill, super smart, and a great friend to everyone. His dad even told us that every morning, when he tells OB he’s going to “school,” he gets so excited and ready to come! We’re going to miss him while he’s away for the next two months, but we know he’ll be back before we know it!

Today, he enjoyed quality time with his friends and soaked up all the fun camp has to offer. OB, we’ll miss you, but we can’t wait to see you back soon! ❤️

Dog Training ≠ Marriage Counseling 😂🐾

We’re here to train your dog, not settle debates over whether it’s “come” or “here” (or “off” vs. “down”… you know who you are). When everyone in the house is on the same page, your dog’s training becomes clearer, easier, and way less confusing for them!

Consistency is key, if one person says “come” and another says “here,” your dog is basically hearing two different languages. So let’s make a pact: same words, same rules, same team.

And hey, if you really need marriage counseling over this, we’re happy to add it to your invoice. 😉

Friday fun at day camp! 🐾 Today we had a blast with Honey, Maple, Violet, Daisy, Tater, OB, Leia, Petey, and Stella! They enjoyed structured play, training, and plenty of enrichment to finish the week strong.

We have just a couple of spots open for next week, so if your pup wants to join in on the fun, be sure to reserve their spot soon!

Today, the dogs crushed it with their place skills, recall work, and walking practice, and they had a fulfilling time in playgroups and on the treadmill. Another fantastic day at camp!

✨ Everything is Connected ✨

When it comes to our dogs, it’s easy to focus on one behavior we want to fix. Maybe it’s pulling on the leash, jumping on guests, or barking at distractions. But here’s the thing, dog behavior isn’t isolated. It’s all connected.

If your dog has no structure at home, free to stare out the window all day, make their own choices, and live without clear rules or boundaries, that lack of guidance carries over into everything else, including your walks.

Want a better walk? It’s not just about leash drills. It’s about creating consistency and leadership in every part of your dog’s life. Calm energy at home leads to calm energy outside. Clear rules indoors lead to better behavior everywhere.

Structure isn’t about being strict, it’s about helping your dog feel safe, secure, and confident because they know what’s expected of them.

Start at home. Build that foundation. Then watch how everything else starts to fall into place.

Feeling Overwhelmed with Your Dog? Not Sure Where to Start?

Start small. Start with permission-based living.

This isn’t about strict rules, it’s about teaching your dog to pause and check in with you, building a stronger relationship and clear leadership.

Here’s how to begin:
✔️ Ask your dog to wait before rushing out of their crate.
✔️ Have them pause before eating.
✔️ Encourage them to wait at doors before exiting.
✔️ Look for moments where they can check in with you instead of making their own choices.

Dogs are opportunistic by nature, they’ll do whatever feels good in the moment. Guiding them with these small “please and thank you” moments sets the foundation for more advanced training later on.

Start with the little things, and you’ll see big changes.

Sweet Odin is home! After starting with our puppy class and building on that foundation during his two-week board and train, this boy has grown so much! We’re so proud of his committed parents for putting in the work and staying consistent, because that’s where the real results happen. Odin is well on his way to becoming a well-mannered, happy pup, and we can’t wait to see how he continues to grow and thrive!

Work hard, play hard, rest hard. Our day camp dogs enjoyed a well-rounded, fulfilling day filled with structured play, confidence-building activities, training sessions, and plenty of time to unwind. Mental stimulation, healthy socialization, and relaxation all play a part in creating happy, balanced pups. 🐾
