February 13, 2024 this filly is appropriately named Valentine. She is learning to lead and take a halter. Very friendly! Her dam, La Dot's Dazzle, has an impossibly long list of accomplishments from halter to driving along with being an amazing broodmare. Valentine's sire, Nando, was imported in 1999 as a 3 year old from Holland. He had a short but impressive show career as a 3 time national champion and both English and Western pleasure champion. Nando has produced many successful offspring including the gold classified stallion Nando's Legacy.

March 1, 2024 filly named Lassie who is learning to take a halter and becoming very friendly. Her dam, Mint Celebration of Genesis, is gold classified but her show career was cut short due to a driving accident. This hasn't stopped her from becoming an excellent broodmare. Lassie's sire, Nando's Legacy, is a gold classified stallion with a score of 82 and a successful riding and driving show career.

Stud c**t born January 21, 2024 named Blaze is being handled daily, learning to lead and takes a halter. Very friendly! His dam, Ladies First, did not get the opportunity to show, however she has proven to be an exceptionally good broodmare with her foal last year winning his weanling c**t class in the American Haflinger 2023 Sport Horse Futurity Show. Blaze's sire, Bellissimo, is an imported stallion who won the champion stallion for 2023.

January 16, 2024 filly named Duchess is being handled daily and is already halter broke and learning to lead. Her dam, Lady Stelaka, had a successful show career prior to becoming a broodmare and has produced very successful offspring. Duchess's sire, Nando's Legacy, is a gold classified stallion with a score of 82 and has proven to be excellent in both riding and driving with many firsts and championships.

AHR National Show Hendershot Haflingers had a great day with all of our horses winning their respective in hand classes. We added the champion and reserve championships for geldings with Nando’s North Star and Nando’s Black Jack, Champion Mare with Millenium’ s Easter Treasure and Stallion Champion with Stelaka. Nando’s Black Jack and Luminous Dancer won the Produce of Dam class for our mare Lady Stelaka. Nando’s North Star, Nando’s Blavk Jack and Millennium’s Easter Treasure won the Get of Sire class for Nando and followed that with Breeder’s Best 3 Haflingers and Nando’s North Star Millenium’s Easter Treasure and Stelaka won Best 3 Haflingers owned by a single exhibitor or farm. A very good morning

Imperial Horse Show, Springfield Ohio our three year old mare Lumious Dancer was selected by one judge as Supreme Champion Haflinger. She is the horse on the right presented by Nicole Cable. Nando’s Black Jack, Luminous Dancer’s 2 year old full brother shown by Shelly Ingalls was selected by the other judge as Supreme Champion Haflinger. Cannot disagree with either judge.

The second year that Hendershot Haflingers have taken home the Supreme Champion Haflinger. Last year Nando’s Legacy was the unanimous selection

Thank you to both Nicole and Shelly for showing these two wonderful young Haflingers and Nando’s North Star and Millenium’s Easter Treasure at the show this weekend. Also a big thank you to Duane Stutzman and his crew for putting together a fantastic show for all the breeders to attend and compete. We are sorry that we were not able to be there in person but look forward to returning to the show ring later this year for me and for next year for Dad after he recovers from a recent fall and broken hip.

Our second foal of 2023 born on January 27 is another stud c**t sired by Bellissimo out of our silver classified mare Ladies First. The mare is sired by Nando with Wilo Van Het S***k on the bottom side. He has a nice full blaze and is progressing nicely in his first week. We have one more foal coming in February sired by Nando and out of our silver classified champion driving horse La Dot’s Dazzle, can anyone spell filly?

Watch for more photos as these two grow and for our naming announcements as neither c**t has been officially named. I have been told that barn names are being adopted but official registered names are still pending

Introducing our first foal of 2023. Although unnamed at this point this stud c**t is out of our imported high silver classified mare Fabilina. She is out of one of the top producing mare lines in Austria from the Brombeck family. The mare is sired by the Austrian stallion,Walzertraum. This c**t is sired by Nando. The photo shows him at 10 days old

Luminous Dancer HNMH, 2-year-old mare sired by Nando out of the mare Lady Stelaka presented today for inspection and classification. She scored a 78, receiving a score of 9 for her head. We look forward to the continued development and maturity of this wonderful young mare that two weeks ago won the 2 year-old mare championship and overall mare championship at the Haflinger Breeder's Co-op Futurity and the Reserve Two-year-old champion at the AHR Futurity.

Introducing our Nando's Legacy, our first Gold Classified Stallion. Nando's Legacy (aka "Duke") a 5-year-old stallion (Limited Edition HNMH x Nando) scored an 82 to capture the Gold ribbon. He was the top scoring horse at the inspection today receiving 9s in Type, Head and Overall Movement.
Duke's achievement marks a 23 year journey for my Dad to capture that Gold Ribbon from our breeding and it is fitting that the first gold comes from our foundation stallion and dad's favorite mare

The inspection and classification is complete and I will post results and photos shortly. However, first things first. My dad and I would like to thank everyone that made the event a success. The American Haflinger Registry Board for supporting the program and specifically the Classification Committee Erwin Slabaugh, Kathie Hanson and John Dunkel. Also, thanks Erwin for the coffee and doughnuts to start the morning and all your work with measurements scribing for the judges and helping exhibitors chasing horses for the liberty. Thank you to Dave Ayers, Larry Thurber and Ian Wengerd for you work as the judges panel. Our Hendershot Haflinger staff that worked hard to prepare for the event and put in a long day today to make everything run smoothly. Rachelle Treat, Chris Sutton, Abby Wright, Kelly Schuhardt and Katie Cleveland. We could not have done this without you. Our trainers Shelly Ingalls and Olivia and Nicole Cable for the great job
of handling and presenting our horses. You guys are the greatest

The biggest thanks to the great Haflinger owners that presented their horses today. We all understand the hous and hours of hard work to get the Haflingers that were presented today. We had a group of exhibitors new to the program at this event. You all did a great job. We would also like to thank all of the spectators that stopped by the farm to watch and to you who traveled to see the event. We may have not had the chance to talk to each one of you, but we are glad you came and look forward to seeing you at the farm in the future

Last night at dinner I defined success for the Classification as a safe event with well presented horses where we all had a chance to learn, meet new people, see old friends and to make new friends and have fun. I believe we met the objective. I know that from my view we met each objective and I look forward to more visits and discussions with the old and new friends. My next wish is for everyone to have a safe trip home. God Speed

Friday September 23 Hendershot Haflingers will host the East Cast Haflinger Inspection and Classification at our farm @ 5869 Cameron Mills New York. We will begin at 9 am, measuring horses. Then at 10 am we will begin presenting horse to the three judge panel and will continue until around 4 pm. Come by and visit us, see some beautiful Haflingers and kick-off the first event in our new indoor arena. So do not worry about the rain as the arena and viewing area are waterproof
