Make sure you have your appointments booked before there is no more room.  for our cat people, we recommend booking your appointments as well as our Mondays are filling up very quickly.

It’s that time of year. You’re gonna see all the posts for nominations for Simply the Best.

While we have some of these awards from years ago, we will no longer be pushing for these nominations and awards for a few reasons.

We know the quality of care we provide is superior.

We are the only Certified Vet Tech ran salon in central PA.

Awards don’t dictate our quality of care and it’s a big money scam! And so stressful to get people to vote.

We don’t need awards to show that we are the best for your pet.

If you want to nominate us that’s awesome! But we’ll let all the other businesses be stressed about nominal rewards while we’ll reap the rewards of providing the best for you and your pet 💚

Christmas gift cards are also available for that last-minute gift. Grooming can be expensive, consider giving the gift of a clean pup 🙂

Behind Our Business

As a certified veterinary technician (CVT), owner and groomer Michelle has always had a love for animals. She has worked in many animal settings including shelter medicine, emergency medicine, and general practice.

Michelle realized she had a hand for grooming and began basic bathing in her home bathtub for close friends. This soon spread to neighbors and friends and then Michelle’s Compassionate Grooming was born.

She has read of all the horror stories from large corporation grooming business of mistreatment and even death of animals and she wanted to provide a safe place that offered quality grooming. Current clients loved the idea and the fact that she is a CVT had many people with old or sick pets feel more comfortable having them groomed by her.

As business grew, equipment was bought, licenses, insurance, etc. until we were official. The garage was completely remodeled to accommodate grooming and now owners and pets enjoy having their pets groomed in a private, quiet setting. We focus on fear free, stress free grooming. All grooms are by appointment only meaning when your pet comes in they are getting groomed at that time and not waiting around for hours on end. Pets go home as soon as they're done so owners and pets are much happier.
