A letter from the Fort Verde Days Queen, Kennedy 👑
As last night came to an end I can’t thank our sponsors enough for everything they do. The Fort Verde Days Rodeo would not be possible without them!! Due to our sponsors and volunteers generous support, effort, time, and donations we are able to have one of the best rodeos in the state. I could not be more grateful for them! Jazmine and I had a wonderful time selling raffle tickets, handing out prizes, and receiving our queen jackets! Thank you everyone who came to our thank you dinner last night!

The jackpot for this Wednesday is being rescheduled to our first High School Junior rodeo of the year. This Wednesday, is a very important Town of Camp Verde Town council meeting in regards to the Livestock Ordinance. In this Ordinance it will affect how many Horses, steers, cows, goats, pigs are allowed on your property. This Ordinance will determine if the youth permit will allow one to increase their animal count by 50% or 100% this will also determine if one can get a permit that may not have kids but have more than their property allows to increase by 50% or 100% on an acre or more. Or they leave the Ordinance alone. Did you know that one that has an half acre can have 2 horses as one who has an acre and that person who has an acre can not have more than two horses and no cows, no goats no pigs. Because horses are 12 pts and you're only allowed 24pts. So one may ask, why is it ok that a half acre can have the same points as someone who has double the acreage? Great question to ask the council, and one I honestly kept asking throughout thr past 2 years with no explanation. We find that this is very important subject that we find that all need to attend Wednesday at 5pm at the Town Of Camp Verde Council Chambers. See you then.

A letter from the Fort Verde Days Rodeo Queen, Kennedy Ballard 👑
As this action packed weekend with 3 AMAZING rodeo performances come to an end I’m filled with so much joy. Being able to watch the best cowboys and cowgirls in the southwest compete to win to go to the NFR Open, the excitement filled the air. Being able to support the two amazing girls running to be the newly crowned 2025 Miss Turquoise Circuit was an amazing opportunity. They both did such an amazing job! Congratulations to Tonantzín Candelaria for winning the title! It was so much fun to meet other State and Circuit queen from around the country! It always a pleasure to be surrounded by our local Arizona rodeo queens. We had much needed laughter together. Despite the cold weather I’m so grateful to have this opportunity to represent and support the GREAT sport of rodeo. The only sport that still prays and sings the national anthem in the beginning. I’m so beyond blessed to be apart of it! You will find me next in Cottonwood on November 16th!
