This is something I like to do with a dog I’m training every single day. You can change it up however and whenever you want. Remember, no session of this kind should last more than 10 minutes. ALWAYS end on a positive note.
It keeps them alert and sharp on their basic obedience, but it also strengthens the relationship between dog and owner.

Had a great day with Mr. Kona yesterday! Kona has been known to pull on the leash like crazy and be a little all over the place without proper mental/physical stimulation and guidance. Yesterdays objectives were fairly simple, yet some of the most important to ensure you and your pup can live a comfortable and relaxed life. Walking on leash properly(in all sorts of distracting environments), basic obedience, and mental/physical stimulation. These are 3 things that will also naturally help with the other issues you and your pup are dealing with. ☀️🐾

A great day of training and fun with our pups here at Miracle K9 Solutions LLC. Today we worked with 4 dogs, and each dog did an exceptional job.
Gus and Finis were back again today, and they continued to build off of their 2 previous sessions. Really starting to see them gain confidence and start to really understand what is being asked of them.
Dalai continues to improve each day as well, getting more comfortable on leash, building some impulse control around different distractions (chickens & dogs), and gaining the confidence to become a well rounded Livestock Guardian Dog.
Miss Coco is coming into her own now, and has done a nice job on and off leash with some tough distractions.
3 of the 4 pups are under 6 months old, with Miss Coco being the oldest at about 6.5 months old.
Can’t wait to see where these pups are in the very near future! 🐾

Dalai is a 17 week old Great Pyrenees who is in the process of being trained to be a livestock guardian dog for chickens. She’s been with us for a little bit now, and has improved each and every day. She is really starting to come out of her shell too, as you can see she enjoys a little play time on top of the work. 🐾

Had to battle the rain today again, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t get some very valuable training in.
Gus and Finis are both 4 months old and are just learning the ropes. Today was their very first day of any type of training. Gus is a little more mellow, while Ms. Finis is now known as Ms. Wigglebottom 🤣 Overall, they did very well and I’m excited to see them progress!

These are all key things to work on with your pups if you’d like them to be efficient in all aspects. Don’t forget, a tired dog is a happy dog. Going on semi structured walks with training sprinkled in is a GREAT way to not only get your dog physical exercise, but also mental stimulation.
