Been a week of ups and downs at Club Chasin’ Piper.

We had to say goodbye to sweet Odin. He was 14 and had heart issues. He lived much longer than his vet thought he would. Please keep his owners in your thoughts. They are devastated.
On the other end of the spectrum we welcomed 2 new walking clients to the family. Meet 15 yo Barkley and 6 m Luna.

Emergency Preparedness Tips

Tip #5 Make sure you have a carrier for ALL your pets, even large dogs. Pet should be able to stand up and turn around easily in the carrier, but they don't need any more room than that.

Tip #6 Communicate Your Plans. Let people you rely on know what your emergency plan is. Neighbors or pet sitters may be with your pets when an emergency happens. Knowing that they know your plan will help to lower stress on yourself, your care giver and your pets.

Emergency Preparedness Tips

Tip #3 Know where you can take your pet in the event of an emergency. Include pet friendly shelters and pet friendly hotels outside of a 60 mile radius of your home.

Tip #4 Have emergency supplies on hand. Items to include (not an exhaustive list).
Extra leashes
kitty litter
litter pan
water and food bowl
trash bags
1st aid kit
5 day supply of food and water.
