Adopted Iris living a sweet and spoiled life in her new home. 🖤 Over the past week, she’s gotten much more comfortable (as you can see 😋) and has started to come out of her shell. 🥰

✨ Courtesy post for Molly the puggle! ✨ Molly is currently not at Jezzie’s Place, but we’re helping to find her a new home. Here’s what was shared with me:

“Due to very unplanned circumstances, we have a beautiful little Brindle Beagle/Pug mix looking for her forever home. Her current human needs to move away to take care of family and is unable to take Molly with her. She is spayed, chipped and UTD on all shots. She's one yr, 8 months and very friendly. She is cat friendly. Molly is used to having a fenced in yard, she's young and would be happy to go out exploring without you.”

Would love to get this guy into a foster home or foster-to-adopt home! Crews is sick of being cooped up here and would thrive much more in a home.

He’s only had two interested families and unfortunately each had dogs that weren’t fans of him. ☹️ Since he’s basically a giant puppy, he is a bit much to a lot of other dogs, but he’s getting better at respecting their space.

He’s now 9 months old, ~45lbs and growing. He’s an active boy who needs exercise and mental stimulation, but is also happy to play with toys and lay on the couch. Because he’s still a puppy, he’ll need continued guidance on potty training, crate training, etc.

Rhett was adopted!!! 🥹 Rhett’s new family met him at the West Lebanon Feed & Supply Valentine’s meet and greet and fell in love. 💕 He’s been in an adoption trial for a couple weeks to see how he and the resident cats adjusted to each other. Rhett’s new mom has done so much research on integrating dogs and cats and started implementing helpful training with Rhett, which has been instrumental to their success and keeping things trending in the right direction. I love seeing Rhett in such a loving, dedicated home, and it makes me so happy that he’ll get to grow up with a kiddo to play with too. 🥰

Iris has been adopted!!! 🥹 This little girl is incredibly timid and nervous around new people but her adopters were instantly committed to driving 1.5 hours one-way for multiple visits, being patient, and trusting that it will be SO worth it when Iris comes out of her shell. Seeing their excitement leading up to today, as they prepared to bring Iris home, was so sweet, and I know she’s going to be spoiled and loved so much. I can’t wait to get updates once she’s comfortable and they get to experience her happy, bouncy sweetness. Thank you Danielle and Rick for loving the fearful ones. 🖤

✨ Rabies Vaccination & Microchip Clinic tomorrow! ⤵️

Rabies Vaccination & Microchip Clinic tomorrow, Saturday, 02/22/25, 9 - 11AM for cats and dogs at Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society.

Cost: $20 per rabies vaccination and $20 per microchip

This is a first-come, first-serve event - no appointment necessary.

All dogs must be kept on a leash and all cats must be safely crated at all times.

In order to receive a rabies vaccination, all animals must be 3-months or older and it must be at least 10-months since their previous rabies vaccination.

Please be sure to bring a prior rabies certificate in order to receive a 3-year certificate, if appropriate. Otherwise, a 1-year certificate will be issued.

River Road Veterinary Clinic in VT is raising money for this sweet girl. 🥺

"Luna is an 8-month-old Australian Shepherd that was hit by a car. She was brought into our clinic but needs a major surgery to repair her broken pelvis. We cannot do this surgery here at RRVC. Her owners elected to euthanize her, so we had them sign her over to us."

Zora and Rhett did great at the meet and greet event today! Rhett was just beyond happy to be there, and Zora seemed to love getting pet from so many people. They met little kids, met some dogs that were passing by, happily greeted everyone, were unfazed by a big and loud floor cleaning machine, and behaved so well the whole time. 🖤 A few people seemed interested so we’ll see! 🤞

Bath night for Rhett, Zora, and Crews. 🛁🫧

Rhett and Zora definitely didn’t love getting wet, but they tolerated it. It was probably the first time we’ve seen Rhett not overly joyous. 😋 Crews, however, just stood there licking his peanut butter lickmat without a care in the world (he’s also great for nail trims!).
