While it seems unseasonably warm outside the past couple days winter is on it's way!

Here are some helpful tips for dog grooming during winter:

Brush your dog's fur regularly to minimize matting, as this can compromise the coat's insulation properties.

Make sure to dry wet fur thoroughly to prevent your dog from getting cold.

While a dog's coat provides warmth, proper grooming is essential to keep it functional and clean throughout the winter months.

🎃👻 Happy Halloween from our spooktacular team! 👻🎃

Our pets are all dressed up and ready for treats! 🐾 Remember, as you and your pets enjoy the festivities, here are a few tips to keep them safe:

🕯️ Watch out for lit pumpkins – candles and curious pets don’t mix! Consider battery-operated candles instead.

🍬 Keep candy out of reach – chocolates and artificial sweeteners (especially xylitol) are toxic to pets.

👗 Pet costumes – if your pet isn’t used to dressing up, make sure they’re comfy and never leave them unattended in costume.

🧡 Keep an eye on the door – the extra visitors can be exciting (or stressful) for pets. Give them a quiet space if they seem overwhelmed.

The fine folks at Iron Smoke Distillery in Fairport are hosting another Whiskeys & Whiskers event on Tuesday, October 29th from 6 to 9 pm to help Pet Pride's cats and kittens. Enjoy acoustic versions of classic vinyl hits from Walt O'Brien, lead singer of Inside Out, experience Marge's Meow-tastic whiskey flight, and bid on amazing raffle baskets! A suggested donation of $5 at the door will support Pet Pride in their mission of saving homeless cats.

In the tradition of Halloween, Iron Smoke will be decorated to the nines for some extra spook-tacular ambiance! Hope to see you there! 😁🎃🐈
