All the kiddings were very easy and for the most part unassisted, just had to reposition a couple kids:) easy kiddings are very important to us as our goats aren’t just livestock, they are family.

Lil Chase was born 8 days early on day 137 in her gestation period. Struggled at first, but is now up to 3 1/2 # at 3 weeks old. She's a hugger ♥️ and a love. She is out of our 2023 Natl Champion Buck FairView OhMickey yoursofine & Falling Stars Beautiful Dreamer ♥️

Five does due within the next 3 weeks. Doe #2 in labor now. Yesterday, had a doeling & DOA buck. Darn it, but doeling kinda hanging in even though 7 days early. Kaylee just arrived... yeahhhh!

See this gray agouti guy up on the spool? He was born when George W was President. Crazy how things are put in perspective at times.
I put that stanchion by that feeder because that's where Sunny likes to eat. He struggles getting up on the spool some afternoons now, but he jumped straight up on the spool this time. 💙 My Sunny boy 🌞

Sometimes negative situations can have positive outcomes! This is one. Z Bar Z Mickeys Strawberry Moon and MPGCH Z Bar Z Skies the Limit welcomed 2 little girls. A mistake was made, gate was left open and Sky was out with our girls for a couple hours. We thought all suspects recycled but well we were wrong. Our little moon, who turned 1 this June began showing an udder and when we looked back at dates, sure enough, perfect timing for a first timer udder to begin filling. It was too late to terminate so we let Mother Nature take its course. Monday morning 7/24, Moon had dropped and began cleaning her two girls, all by herself. This is the reason we prioritize the health and longevity of our goats over winning. Needless to say, we are in love with these two healthy girls. Names to be determined.

WOW … What a great fun few days! One I won’t soon forget. I am (again) so, and STINKIN happy!!! Now our MPGCH Fair View Oh Mickey hessofine has been chosen the 2023 National Champion buck. What an honor to have him! Thank you again Diane Keith for spreading the love & thank you to SPPGA for a fun convention, as well as all the judges and worker bee’s that made everything great! PS We are home safe friends. Safe travels to all.

I finally found some time to get pictures of the babies. We finished this kidding season off with 4 does and 1 buck! All good kiddings but pretty unusual for us to have singles. This has also been our smallest year for awhile. We are having fun with the babies and snuggles.

Z Bar Z Sweet Dreams is doing good and out enjoying the sunshine ☀️

Supposed to be 60 degrees and sunny today and tomorrow so they are all out soaking in the sun!
