It’s Hairball Awareness Day, and if you’ve ever been startled by that unmistakable hork sound, you’re not alone! 🐾 While the occasional hairball (around once a month or less) is normal for cats, frequent hairballs could signal an underlying issue like excessive grooming, skin problems, or digestive concerns.

If your cat is coughing up hairballs more often than usual, it’s worth a conversation with your vet. Otherwise, regular brushing and a healthy diet can help keep hairballs to a minimum. Here’s to fewer surprises on the carpet! 😸
