PATTY STILLER

I graduated farrier school in northern California in 1982. I built my full time farrier business in the Santa Cruz area, then moved my farrier services to the San Francisco Bay area. In 1996 was introduced to the principles of Natural Balance, by farrier /clinician Gene Ovnicek. I was also one of the two staff farriers at the University Of California Veterinary Teaching Hospital. in 200o and 2001 ,until relocating to Colorado where I still reside . Here I continued to lecture, and teach Natural Balance principles at clinics around the US. I also travelled and taught many hands on hoofcare classes for horse owners .

I was one of the first certified members of the Equine Lameness Prevention Organization (www.lamenessprevention.org) I have also attended numerous farrier and veterinary conventions, symposiums and other continuing education opportunities over the years. I earned my ELPO certifications in trimming ,shoeing, and Certified Lameness Specialist.

I taught farrier science for three years at the Pikes Peak Community College. in Colorado Springs . After leaving that program I started and ran the ELPO Farrier School for that organization for three years, until 2012.

In 2012 I took a few years off from shoeing, though still doing some barefoot trimming. I am now back to full time hoof trimming and shoeing. And I again provide instruction for horse owners who want to learn the basics of barefoot hoof maintenance for their own horses.
