Winter brings out the pure joy in dogs - especially those boarding at QK. ❄️

Our boarding dogs get the chance to play outside together, burning energy, building confidence, and strengthening social skills in a safe, structured environment. Even in the snow, fun and focus go hand in hand.

Christmas Eve at QK Dogs is always a little magical. ✨
Not because of twinkly lights or perfectly wrapped gifts—but because dogs still need care, routines still matter, and love doesn’t take a holiday.

Today (and every day), I want to pause and celebrate the extraordinary humans behind the gates at Quinebaug Kennels.

This team shows up 365 days a year with grace, grit, humor, patience, and a whole lot of heart. They brave weather, muddy boots, early mornings, late nights, wagging tails, muddy paws, and the occasional “how did that happen?” moment—all so your dogs are safe, fulfilled, exercised, trained, enriched, and genuinely loved.

This is one of the best teams we’ve ever had, and I could not be more proud.

This holiday season, we’re celebrating the person who makes QK Dogs the calm, structured, joyful place it is - our founder, Jennifer Broome. ❤️🎄

Fun fact: Before creating QK Dogs in 2000, Jennifer worked for the USFWS and RI DEM as a Wildlife Biologist. She is a passionate outdoors woman and conservationist.

From our family to yours, thank you for trusting Jennifer and the entire QK team to care for your dogs all year long.
