Two years ago I received a call about an abandoned pig. She was living in a pile of trash with no food or water. She was so broken, it took months for her to leave her stall. Even longer for her to venture outside. Her hooves were overgrown, she was obese, arthritic, and her skin and coat was unhealthy. She took a lot of time and patience to come around. Thank you to all of the donors that helped transform Hope into the healthy and happy piggy she is today.

It is that time of year where we see a lot of pigs get constipation. Not sure if it’s the weather change or acorns or both. I’ve not had this problem for the past 3 years. I wanted to share what has been working for me. 1) add water to their pellets 2) pumpkin puree with their meal 3) soaked beet pulp in one meal each day. The one without molasses and just a big handful (it will not make them gain weight) 4) veggies every day, mine get a carrot after each meal and greens 5) for those that don’t drink enough, add a splash of apple juice to their water 6) If you have any kind of issue, I highly recommend Jumpstart. It is an anti microbial gel and it does wonders. Keep it on hand for emergencies. I’ll put the link below in the comments. I hope this information helps your piggies 🐷 ♥️

Two pups that need homes. Both were born on 3 February. Both are female and are crate trained. They are outside dogs and only come in during the night. During the day they hang out and play with momma dog (German Shepard) and pappa dog (GSD/Lab mix). One has white on the toes of all 4 paws, the other has white on just one paw. Most of their vaccinations are done, but they missed their 18-week vaccine. They haven’t had the rabies shot yet and they are not spayed.

No better way to beat the heat than a dip in the pool. Pigs don’t sweat and can become overheated easily. They enjoyed some watermelon before pool time. #pigs #animalrescue

About us

I have rescued and cared for many animals in my lifetime, it has always been a passion of mine. I named the organization St. Francis, not only because he was the patron saint of animals, but because William Brown’s middle name is Francis and he had the same passion for animals that I do. This organization is not only for the well-being of animals, but it’s for people too. This farm and all of the animals helped me through losing Will to su***de. There were times that I didn’t think I would make it, but my obligation to my animals kept me moving forward. I realized that other people who visited the farm felt the healing energy and enjoyed the animals as much as I do. I am blessed to have Catherine Skellen helping me on the farm, I couldn’t do this without her. Together we will be organizing fundraising and raising awareness for animals and people in need.
