We've been so busy helping pups we forgot to tell everyone we'll be at Top Dogs Pet Boutique in Canton Saturday, March 1st from noon until 4pm. I'm Buttercup and I'm going to sit out the event because I was just rescued this afternoon, but other of my housemates will be there. Once I'm cleaned up and get a vet clean bill of health I should be good to go. Enjoy the adoption event tomorrow. 😀

WE NEED BODIES!

On Wed, Feb 26th Castoff Pet Rescue and Southern Journey Animal Rescue are doing a fundraiser with Jordan's Way. They come out and film the shelter dogs and cats and raise money on social platforms.

We need 50 folks to come out to the shelter in Blairsville, GA between 10am - 1pm on the 26th. Historically, well attended events with Jordan's Way garner about $10k for the shelter.

What will you be doing:
Come out for the LIVE event and help participate in the fundraiser activities to help raise money for our rescues ❤️

Top Dogs family: The graphic below shows you which major corporate conglomerates own popular big box and grocery store brands of pet food. Look at their revenue. Why is this important to you?
The pet food companies typically use the same ingredient and vitamin mix supplier across all the companies. If one ingredient is toxic and used across multiple companies, several pet foods may have been impacted and result in many pets sick across many pet foods.
This happened during the melamine scare in 2006 as well the Vitamin D toxicity debacle in 2019. In that case it started with the Hills recall (which killed thousands of dogs) and then resulted in several other companies recalling their food because an employee put too much Vitamin D in the premix.
Also, the FDA does not require pet food manufacturers to list where they get their ingredients from. They also do not require them to disclose when they change their ingredients or packaging.
Connecting the dots for you. Do your research! When we know better, we do better.
Top Dogs does not stock any of the following brands. If you are feeding one of these and would like to try something different, please stop by and see us! We will be happy to show you some healthier options for your pets.🙂

We're doing adoptions Saturday, Feb. 15th, at Kennesaw Top Dogs Pet Boutique, and the pups are looking forward to saying HI! We'll be there from noon until 4pm. Leah has done a couple of raffle baskets with pampering goodies. Come by, get your tickets and we'll announce winners at 4pm. You don't have to be there in person. We'll call you. Because of the cold weather we've switched from the Canton store. The pups would be too cold outside, so we'll be inside at Kennesaw.

UPDATE: ADOPTED!!
COURTESY POST: Remi is a 9 yr old Vizsla who is looking for a quiet home. He's been raised with 3 boys and has gotten anxious with all the noise and activity that comes with a house with 3 boys. He's 45 lbs, neutered and up to date on vaccines. He's housebroken, likes to play outside and snuggle inside. He's great with kids but loud noises make hIm nervous. A quiet home with 1 or 2 adults would be best for Remi. This was a hard decision to make but we want Remi to have his best life and we don't feel like he's getting that here with us.
