No better way to get my mind off of my own troubles then to help another
The INFAMOUS “Red” has been caught.! FOUR years of trying to get this smart little cookie! Trap training did pay off. I’m grateful no one stole my trap in the month it was set up in that alley. Showed up and with little effort I was loading her into a live trap.
With that being said. Miss Red who has one beautiful litter after another will no longer be making homeless babies
She has a “friend” living in the alley. Fixed thru AlterCat Community Cat Program with that being said neither have a steady feeder or caretaker. And no shelter. Anyone with a barn location they can move to ? And to be perfectly honest the yellow cat known as Garfield is a sweet boy. Thrown away. Homeless. And Red. With the right people would be a wonderful indoor cat. A true dream come true to get them out of there. The heart of the city where alley meets alley. I solicited barns and came up with 8/9 new ones but none so much a fit for them. Once I’ve met them. A home would also be appropriate.

Praise God! Alterclinic in the morning!!!🙏🏻🙌🏻❤️😊

It's Global Cat Day, though we prefer the old "National Feral Cat Day" nomer because, well, you know why.

Please be kind to the feral cats, the stray cats, the community cats, the barn cats, the alley cats, the neighborhood cats, the working cats, by whatever name you call them.

Feed them, provide shelter, and, of course, spay and neuter them! There are not enough indoor homes for all the cats -- but spaying and neutering reduces their numbers, and Trap Neuter Return encourages proper feeding, sheltering, and legal protection.

Sharing again bc it resonated with me fully!!
Three words of advice for reaching out to animal rescuers: ASSUME THE BEST.

Assume that if you’re reaching out to someone who does animal rescue, you’re reaching out to someone who has a huge heart. Assume that they care deeply about saving lives. Assume that if they don’t respond to you right away, or at all, it’s because they’re so busy helping animals. Assume that you’re the 10th, 20th, or 100th person to reach out to them today asking for help. Assume that if they can’t help you, it’s because they are already at max capacity. Assume that you do not know or see a fraction of what is on their plate. Assume that they might be exhausted. Assume that they might be grieving, or tender. Assume that they are a loving, kind person who is a source of good for the world. Assume that they are worthy of being treated with consideration and respect. Assume that they are human.

Because 9 times out of 10, if you assume these things about an animal rescuer, you will be right. So when you reach out to an animal rescuer, let your words be filled with gratitude, patience, and understanding. Don’t use your words to jab at animal rescuers for not being available enough, not doing more, not “caring,” not being able to single-handedly save the world. Treat animal rescuers with compassion, not just when they can help you, but even—and especially—when they can’t. And when they can’t, don’t assume the worst. Assume the best.

I woke up early, ready to take on the day! However, my sleep was subpar and I was aware of every hour passing by. Despite that, I was hopeful to feel rested today but it won't be. I rushed to get the target cat (from last week as she was caught instead of Tigger the squirrel attack cat) and successfully dropped it off at the clinic. Unfortunately, I lost my phone during the process, so no pictures were taken. Nevertheless, I retrieved it and now I need to feed everyone. On a positive note, the sun is shining!☀️

I have to appreciate Peace, Love & Paws Rescue & The City of Massillon-City Hall for stepping up to help these two young cats… I’m sorry kittens.
They were recently trapped vetted and secured into rescue
This one really hits home.
They are so young one weighs 2.4 pounds the other 3.2 pounds and the 2.4 pound KITTEN was pregnant. Not even barely 4 months old.
Living amongst tons of other community cats not vetted sick.
Can’t we as a society do better then this?
I just can’t accept this on my mind 😞

Very pregnant. So grateful a rescue could take her in.

This beautiful trio went to their new inside home. A barn with heat! I wish I could do more. Each was very friendly. But with adoptions slowing down bc of kitten season the adults I have wait longer. At least this group will be off the streets, sheltered and fed.

Two boys returned to their caretaker yesterday. Thankfully they have one but sadly neighbors aren’t appreciative of cats in their neighborhood.
I don’t feel entirely unsocial either. Just sentenced to live outside.🙁

Petey & Poppy have decided they like each other!
Which is so huge for Poppy!
She’s selective on her human and animal friends. Which makes me love her so much!
