Today, 23 years ago, our country changed forever. We watched, on live TV, as people died and we wondered why.

Please, make sure your children know how absolutely important today is and those people are. Hundreds of men and women became heroes on a regular, beautiful Tuesday morning. Our country mourned, but also came together in a way that was truly remarkable. Please don’t let those sacrifices go to waste.

Please don’t ever forget how blessed we are to share this world with people so full of love, compassion, and courage that they gave their lives for others. Live for them. Love for them. ❤️

Happiest 16th birthday to my sweet (and sour) baby girl. Isabella Josephine, you are more than a dog or a pet— you have gotten me through the absolute worst times of my life and have brought such joy and love into our lives. Meet Carver, our 6 year old Dachshund boy that came to us from a shelter in the region. Unfortunately, one of his eyes needed to be removed shortly after he came to us, and his remaining eye does not have sight. He’s healed perfectly from his surgery and ready to find his furever home. Because he is blind, he requires a fenced yard in order to ensure his safety. He is being fostered in the Omaha metro area.
