We hate to turn any customers away but unfortunately we are no longer able to accommodate walk ins or services that do not have a scheduled appointment. All of our bath and haircut services include nail filing with the dremel, ear plucking and cleaning, external gland expression, paw pad and sanitary shave, and a 15 minute brush out. Bath services are only $10-20 more than a walk in nail filing. Please call 678-894-5523 to schedule your appointments!

This post is to illustrate the diversity in doodles. These are two males in the exact same haircut. The same process and lengths and tools were used on both of these handsome pups. The look is completely different because of the hair color quality and texture. If you bring pictures of a haircut you like on a dog that is a different breed or even your pet as a puppy, the result isn’t always going to look like your picture because of hair texture and quality. Just because you look up a Pinterest photo of doodle grooming doesn’t mean we can make it look like the picture. We can usually give you a version of the same cut, but this illustrates how different the same exact cut can look on the same breed.

Charley would like to thank everyone for their patience this week! As many of you know this week and the week before thanksgiving are our busiest weeks of the year. We would like to thank everyone for their generous tips, heartfelt cards and gifts and most of all your patience. Things are taking longer due to the extra high volume of pets and not being rushed or screamed at for taking too long has been a first this year and it means so much more than you can imagine. Thank you everyone for your kindness and understanding that we’re doing our best to keep our heads above water this week!

I hate to do this and I understand we will lose some clients in the process but in an industry with ever increasing demand and a very steep increase in the cost of doing business we will be enacting a price increase across the board in 2024. Everyone with a recurring schedule will need to re-book after January 1. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to continuing to serve you as the top rated salon in our area!

We will not be accepting walk in nails, comb outs, or same day bath appointments on Saturdays. Y’all ever seen a full haircut in a minute and a half???? This is Bri doing a mini groom at 10x speed!!!! In reality this full haircut took about 17 minutes. The time and money is spent in the prep work. The foundation of a great haircut is a great bath! Our raffle for hurricane relief was SO MICH FUN! We are proud to announce that we raised over $2000 to benefit the victims of Hurricane Helene and assist in pet rescue efforts in those areas! This would never have been possible without the generosity of our clients and our amazing community so thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and to everyone who showed up and everyone who participated in any capacity! We will be making our way to East Tennessee with our supply donations this weekend and can’t wait to keep you updated along the way. We will still be collecting donations through Friday this week so if you’d still like to contribute our drop off donations bring them by the salon!

This post is long overdue but worth waiting on her smock! Rustic Retreat Pet Spa would like to formally recognize and congratulate Alexis Willer on achieving her professional grooming certification! Alexis has been with the company for two years and has completed a rigorous internship, training, and testing of both technical grooming and animal handling skills. She is extremely patient, talented, and relaxed in her technique. Her laid back demeanor makes most pets feel at ease right away allowing top notch quality cuts and expert level care! We look forward to many years to come with Alexis grooming Tuesday-Friday and congratulate her on this amazing achievement! She worked hard for this! We’re so proud! ❤️🙌

Unboxing shampoo!!!

As we come up to our final week at the old salon it is important to remember to SLOW DOWN when coming into the new shop. While turning right into the shop may seem like the easier option it is a VERY sharp turn into the driveway almost a u-turn so make sure you’re slowing down wayyyy in advance! We will be sending out messages as soon as we move and calling people before their appointments to make certain they know how to get here!

Excuse the exhaustion in my voice but we’re allllllmost done with paint.

First Peak at our new place! Sadly we will be pretty strict about pet parents walking through our gated off areas at the new shop. With daycare and grooming running simultaneously in the back we won’t be permitting anyone past the front retail/check in area without a scheduled tour! I’ll make more videos to show where all our kennels and doggy daycare will go as well as a property and house history video as it is a historical home in the area! We can’t wait to hopefully be open September 1 and will be updating our policies and procedures in the coming weeks so everyone is confident in how to drop off and pick up! We will DEFINITELY be holding an open house for our existing and potential clients to view and your the new space as soon as it is ready so stay posted!
