Guinea pigs by nature are herd animals however bonding meals together can be tricky. I had these two Boars in side-by-side cages for a while to see if they could get along. Putting them together wasn’t so great. The behavior you’re seeing is called rumble strutting. It’s two males square off for dominance. Normally they will try to mount each other however it’s clear that these two were much more aggressive. I ended up having to separate them. Rule of thumb is that if you want to bond two male guinea pigs together putting a young male with an older one usually works best. You can always consider neutering them too so that they can be with a female and to calm them down.
