Winnie came to see us today again! Winnie came and visited us back in 2021 for a soft palate resection. Today she visited for a soft palate resection revision and stenotic nares correction. She has been the best girl and we love her soooo much!

Remember Miss Matcha from a few weeks ago? She came back today for 8-week post op radiographs (and some doctor snuggles, obviously). She’s healing beautifully and almost ready for a fun filled summer!

Since the beginning of April, our team at AVCG has done a lot of learning. Dr. Razza and our LVT Mandy traveled to Chicago for TPLO training at Heartland SAIL orthopedic initiative with Rita Leibinger Medical for TPLO training. Dr. Razza returned for a day and then headed to AO Principles of Fracture Management in Cincinnati with her steadfast sidekick Sam.

The clinic team will be unavailable Thursday this week from 1-2 for a group training.

This is how AVCG experienced the eclipse today.

Dr. Razza was scrubbed in for surgery when the highest coverage was overhead. Luckily, we could see it through the window. (Don’t worry. Anesthestic monitoring was happening behind the scenes)

Today we say "See you later!" to Dr. McCoy. She is heading out of state to expand her experience and explore new places. We will miss her dearly, but know that she is following her heart and doing what she has always wanted to do. Dr. McCoy has been an asset to the AVCG team and our experience here as team members won't be the same without her. Her joy and love for her patients and surgery will be felt for sure.

Good luck Doc! We will miss you like crazy.

Miss Matcha came back to visit today to have her staples removed. Matcha was here earlier this month to have a forelimb fracture repaired. She was so excited to see us all and show us how well she’s doing. Only 6 more weeks of rest to make sure she’s all healed. Then back to normal activities!
