Hey hey my friends: old and new! In honor of rounding the corner on 1.5k followers and the whirlwind that the last few months have been i thought I'd reintroduce myself and update those who have been here a while!

My name is Savannah! I own and run The Savvy Sitter and have been since 2017. However, for the last two years (in october) this has been my only job and focus. This means dogs, cats, and farms are supporting my family! What a dream come true.

Unfortunately the vehicle I use for work, and everything else for that matter, was totaled at the start of summer. 35 days of no car to call my own. You guys rallied and showed up and showed OUT. I never would have been able to buy a New-To-Me car, much less without a car note, if it weren't for you guys. Yall really did the thing and i will spend forever paying it forward. We have a car! Which means farms are about to ramp up again, woohoo!

Last, but certainly not least, i am sure some of you are wondering who the handsome devil is in the photos or even behind the gate at pick up. Id like to formally introduce Joshua: my fiancé! Im getting married next year! Hes a huge help with all of the animals and has a heart for this, hardly even rivaled by my own. No job is too big, too small, too dirty, or too hard. He just smiles and does the thing. So if you see him lugging feed or giving a scratch to a leaving dog, tell him hey!

So we wrecked a car. Got a new one. Got Engaged. Moved bonus kids in. What else? I think that about sums it up! We are working on settling in, but we couldn't be happier or more blessed. Thank you for all the support and keep following along for your daily dose of animal cuteness!

Another beautiful life cut short, too soon. Baxter was the most gentle, soft-footed, sweetest man. Unfortunately, cancer sucks and he only saw seven or eight years but what wonderful years they were. Hes truly loved and will be deeply missed by more than just me. Be free, sweet mans and be comfortable again. 🌈🌈

Oh and get you someone who looks at you the way Baxter looks at fried cheese 😍😂

And just like that: summer number three has come and gone. Two months is never enough time with Nina the Portuguese Pirate Pup. She may have come back this year missing a piece but that didnt stop her from being the happiest girl in the house. We will miss you, chunker. Til next summer!
