It is Chip Your Pet Month!
There are a lot of thunderstorms during this time of the year...
We get a lot of dogs brought in to scan that are picked up, many don't have a microchip.
If you have a pet that has a microchip already (that is NOT through us) when you come in let us scan it and update the microchip to our personal vet records. We always search our records first!

We had a little eclipse viewing party of our own at the clinic! It’s a neat thing to be able to witness in your lifetime. We hope everyone enjoyed the little bit of the phenomenon while it was here!

Did y’all know it’s National Puppy and Kitten day? Here’s some cute pictures for your enjoyment! It’s not always puppies and kittens at the clinic but it sure is fun when we do get to snuggle them!

**Closing announcement**
We wanted to let everyone know that we will be closed temporarily on Thursday February 15th from 9:30-11:00.

A very dear friend of ours and loving husband of one of our long time retired employees, Gene Williams, passed and we will be giving our time to his memory. Any thoughts and prayers are appreciated for his family and specifically his Wife Patricia, otherwise known to us as Mrs.P.
He will be greatly missed!

Welcome cooler weather!
However... with the cooler weather have you noticed those pesky mosquitoes hanging around again?
I know I have walking my own dogs on our property, hearing buzzing at my ears and constantly waving my hands around as if I'm having a seizure. It's ridiculous.
Important information: Mosquitoes bring a heartworm threat to your most favorite furry kids. If you live in East Texas, you 100% run a risk of your dog contracting heartworms if they are not on a medication to prevent that from happening!
**also note** your pet DOES NOT have to show symptoms of heartworm DISEASE to have contracted heartworms**
