**Update on Bear!**

He made it safe and sound yesterday to his new home! He loves these two special horsewomen! So excited for Bear and their future together!
Settled right in and is loving his undivided attention! ❤️❤️🐴

***Update: Sale Pending for our sweet boy! We are so excited about his potential new home and future for Bear! Thank you everyone for your interest and support!***

With a heavy heart we will be offering Bear for sale or for lease. Unfortunately with costs going up and show expenses increasing. We are forced to offer this sweet boy the option to find another barn to call home.
Bear is 14 year old grade gelding. 15.2 hh tall. We purchased him about 4 years ago from southern OH. We used him for camps and lessons. He is a great boy to learn on and wants to please. His story prior to us owning him was a rough one, but he wants to find his person.
He is sound, up to date on feet and teeth (feet trimmed 2/7/24), he is barefoot. He is very low maintence. Just wants your time and love!
He trims great for the farrier and is farrier approved for manners. Our farrier actually feels fine trimming him without anyone there.
He bathes and grooms well. Loves the attention and has a beautiful mane/tail!
He was leased by a young girl and her mother for the last few years. Unfortunately due to busy schedules he didn’t get much riding in. He is currently restarting under saddle, for endurance purposes so he will be ready for his forever home.
He has the mind and the willingness to get back in shape!

We would love for him to find a loving forever home or leaser! To trail ride and spend the rest of his life loving! He does have the potential for ranch events in the open circuits locally! Just needs to get in shape!

Mini case study:
Pete (telling Pete) is a 8 year old QH, he has shown ranch and is now training back for pleasure classes. September 2023 performance vet found he has a left sore/mildly arthritic stifle. Both stifles were injected and preparations for big shows continued. Vet at the time felt evaluation in about 4-6 months depending on how he was doing/feeling. Potential to be injected at 4 months due to his arthritis.

He showed great and did his best. Had a few weeks off before starting 2024 show season preparations.

November 2023 We started first daily (2 weeks) cryotherapy on both stifles, gaskins, hocks. He hit therapeutic temperatures each time. We did include full back treatments once a month. Then we started weekly maintenance following. He wasn’t showing signs of hurting and he was at about 3 1/2 month mark from injections.

We continued working and signs of soreness didn’t come until 6 months post injections. We scheduled a follow up Dr Hudson at Bella Vista Equine and he was pleased!
Pete did get his injections this month (January 2024) and is back to work. He had one week off from cryo treatments per vet recommendations.
Dr Hudson was happy to hear we were using these treatments in conjunction with vet care. Even helped give an individualized treatment plan for shows and at home! He checked his hocks and was pleased no inflammation or concerns either.
(Which we always recommend vets to be the center of any long term treatments)

We are so excited!
Pete is such a good boy and so happy we can help him feel his best. As a horse owner it helps me know my horses get what they need to be the athletes at their fullest potential.

I can’t even start to explain how much of an amazing feeling it was last weekend showing with these two amazing girls. They haven’t been in the show ring for 4 years. They got back on, back to hard work, and definitely stepped up last weekend at Creekside Horse Park. These are the ribbons (top is theirs and bottom is mine) with the boys combined! We learned, laughed, ran around like crazy people, and overcame some obstacles! But overall it was soo much fun! Obviously we couldn’t have done it without their awesome show dad’s PB&Js Michael Goldie) and Debbie Goldie’s help! Pete took high point both days in W/T/C adult division and Max averaged reserve high point in open division with me.
Pete and Ana took high point for the day Saturday in W/T youth. Max and Alyssa took 3rd high point for the day in W/T youth 💖🐴
