Little Wags got into a scuffle with a larger dog and unfortunately suffered a broken jaw. We were able to put him back together with a plate and screws. He’s as good as new!

This handsome guy is Fez! He got into some trouble outside and came home with a broken leg and dislocated ankle. Thankfully we were able to put him all back together without the need of metal implants!

Juniper came to us after being hit by a car which dislocated her elbow.

We were able to put it back into place and surgical place a suture anchor and suture to secure it so it’s able to heal. She’s doing great!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Samson came to us with a soft tissue sarcoma on his leg to be removed. Due to the location, it was going to be difficult to remove the entire tumor and close the wound.

We were able to use a fish skin graft in place of his skin to close his incision.

Check out how well he healed!

Gussy recently had a tail amputation with us, and according to his owner he’s a new dog, is playing with his sister again, and wants to run like a greyhound!

Bulldogs can have “corkscrew” tails that create a deep pocket that often become infected and painful, when this happens, removing them can be the best solution. We have often heard from owners after their pups have had this procedure that they are “new dogs”.

We are so happy we could help you Gussy!!

Bulldog tail amputation

Bubba had an FHO (femoral head osteotomy) with us 3 months ago due to a broken hip. Look how awesome he is doing! Way to go Bubba!

Jet has a long year of recovering from bilateral achilles tendon repairs, but is doing great and clearly enjoying life!

Hudson Kanchana came to us with suspected laryngeal paralysis. The beginning of the video was during an exam prior to surgery, which clearly shows that the left side of his larynx is paralyzed, which is causing a small, closed airway. The second part of the video shows Hudson’s airway after his surgery. Dr. Leshem did a laryngeal tie back to surgically pull the paralyzed side of his larynx over, which opened up his airway significantly. Hudson is breathing much better with his new airway!

We are excited to announce that we will now be performing TTAs on tarantulas! Give us a call to set up a consultation! 😉

Shiloh had a partial tarsal arthodesis (ankle surgery) with us about a year ago. She's doing so well and loves going show shoeing with her owner!

Boomer had his rear leg amputated due to an injury less than 6 weeks ago, it’s not holding him back one bit! Go Boomer Go!

Koda had bilateral elbow surgery with us to correct premature closure of his distal ulnar physis. Without correction it leads to crooked legs and elbow incongruence which can subsequently lead to significant arthritis down the road. His owner mentioned that before the surgery they thought he was just a mellow dog, because even as a puppy he wasn’t interested in playing much and would just lay around. As you can see he is feeling much better and loves to run and play fetch now!

Big boy Rocky IV (yes, after the movie!) had an FHO (femoral head osteotomy) just 2 weeks ago! He had a dislocated hip due to an injury and hip dysplasia. Along with his dedicated owners and physical therapy we are thrilled with his progress.
