Preventing Your Dog from Going Missing
Thursday, June 20th @ 6:30 pm in the Community Room
Hundreds of dogs go missing each year in Connecticut. Some are never found. Some don’t survive. Join Karen J. Moulton as she shares comprehensive information on preventing your dog or a dog in your care from going missing. Learn recovery techniques for missing dogs and cats. Hear about key recoveries she has made. This discussion is for anyone who has any responsibility for the care of a dog – owners, family members caring for a dog, rescues, foster homes, dog walkers, kennels, and daycares.
Presenter: Karen began her journey as a missing animal recovery specialist in 2014. She noticed many pets were going missing and that information about prevention and recovery was lacking. She attended courses, studied with experts, and continues to gain knowledge from every case she works on. She offers volunteer services in the Farmington Valley as Farmington Valley Lost Pet Prevention and Recovery. Karen also has a background in canine search for missing and deceased persons in Connecticut as a volunteer canine handler.
