I really need to get better with my social media posts. There’s a whole lot of good that happens around here, but it seems I only post the bad news. On January 10, 2024 at 11:30pm we discovered the garage attached to our apartment completely engulfed in flames. The fire quickly started consuming the walls and ceiling of the house. We had seconds to run out. We managed to save ourselves, the 2 dogs in the apartment, and the 4 horses stabled at the other end of the building. The barn and apartment are a total loss. We are missing 2 cats. All of our personal belongings are gone. The main barn stabling 16 horses was untouched. Our family, friends, and community have been amazing with their outpouring of help and support. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone. We can’t thank you enough. As we continue to have many people wanting to help, I thought it would be helpful to list what we lost.
