We’re confused too, Pixy! This girl’s bath video last week got lots of attention but she did not get her freedom ride 🚗 over the weekend… is she waiting for you?! This 3-year-old, 45-pound sweetheart has had a rough start in life but is ready for a fresh chapter filled with love and care 💕

Pixy appears to have been used for breeding and came to SCDW heartworm positive, but now she’s on the road to recovery. She’s already been spayed, and with the help of Friends of Stark Pound, is starting her heartworm treatment but would love a quiet place to recover ❤️‍🩹

Despite her tough past, Pixy is a true angel 🐾 She didn’t love her magic bath but handled it like a champ—and absolutely melted our hearts when she relaxed during her towel-drying session 🛁 We think she appreciated our efforts 🥰 She adores people, is super cuddly, and takes treats gently from your hand 🦴 Pixy’s gentle, loving nature is a testament to her resilience, and she deserves a forever home where she can thrive.

Pixy has so much love to give—can you open your heart and home to this beautiful girl? 🏡 She’s ready to leave her past behind and start the happiest chapter of her life with you ❤️ Bring the whole family (cats in a hard carrier) for a meet and greet!

Don’t forget every dog comes with 2 free session with Hopebridge RTA should you need them. Adopters should research post-adoption decompression and the rule of 3: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine and 3 months to start to feel at home.

The Shelter Pet Studio is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by volunteers, independent from the shelters we assist. We write bios based on our experiences with pets and are not making guarantees. 🎅🏻 Dear Santa Paws,
It’s me LEROY. I have been at the shelter for so long I hope you haven’t forgotten about me. I’m just a little over a year old and have spent almost half of my life here. The nice people here say I’m a very good boy and they don’t understand why I haven’t found my perfect home yet. I have lots of energy and could play ball all day long. I really wish I had some small humans to play with and keep me busy. I have met lots of them and think they are the best! I’m a little too much for older dogs and cats but I know the right home is out there I would love to wake up on Christmas morning in my own soft bed.
I’m just 40 # and don’t take up too much space. Please help my Christmas dreams come true. I promise unconditional love forever in return. You can find me at The Dogs at the Stark County Dog Warden
People can bring their families to see me Monday-Saturday 10-4.

🍃 ZEN is a hyper little boy!! He's around 8 months old / 27 # and always on the move. He is going to need a family that can keep up with him and make sure he gets plenty of walks and exercise to tire him out! We aren't sure how big he will get or what kind of mix he is

❄️ WINTER is the prettiest girl! She loves playing and getting all of the cuddles and attention. She's around 1 years old / 35 #

🪵 ELGIN is a typical shepherd!! He loves to be active and enjoys the outdoors. He hasn't seemed to have any training in his life so we recommend a home that has a lot of time and patience and is willing to work with him! He's around 5 years old / 63 #

💜 ELLIE is just a baby at 2 months old. She is a typical puppy that likes to chew and is going through her teething stage. She has no training or any manners and will need to be potty trained. We HIGHLY recommend a breed experienced home for her as she continues to grow. Please be prepared that puppies are a lot of work and will need a ton of time , patience , and attention along with lots of training!!

Cheat’s video got lots of attention last week but still he remains… is he waiting for you?! Meet Cheat! 🐾 named because he’s been cheated in life and looking for more! He can be renamed 😊 Cheat is around 5 years old and has had a rough start in life, arriving covered in fleas and scabs with a shy personality that said he wasn’t used to kind humans 💔

After a magic bath and some time decompressing, this good boy is feeling much better and is ready for his fresh start. This sweet guy tested positive for Lyme disease and is now on antibiotics. Please remember to keep him on preventative!

Because of his past, Cheat can be a little stiff when receiving affection or playing tug-of-war even though he wants both! He needs a patient, gentle family to help him feel safe and relaxed. He’s treat-motivated (perfect for training!) and loves toys and giving kisses 😘 Cheat has a calm, low-key vibe and just wants a chance to prove he’s capable of love and loyalty. This boy craves attention and deserves a family to show him the love he’s been missing!

Could Cheat be the missing piece of your family? Bring everyone (cats in a hard carrier) for a meet and greet and give this deserving boy a forever home! ❤️
