This morning was wonderful. I joined Amy Williams Bryant, Tara Miller, and Infiniti Roofing and Remodeling to give back to Liberty Elementary teachers. The turnout was amazing, and serving them lunch was an honor. What a blessing, what an incredible day.

Last night I stopped on the side of the road to help a deer. I didn't hit her, she had already been hit, but I saw the her still alive laying on the side of the road with her head still upright. She couldn't lay her head down because her jaw was broken and it would have been to painful for her. All I could do was call the police to come and euthanize her. I stayed there to comfort her until he arrived. I put my hand on the side of her head so she could relax her neck and I stroked her forehead as I saw tears fall down her face. Another person finally stopped and showed kindness and helped to offer comfort until the officer arrived. As we drove off, we heard the single shot and I cried the entire way home.

For those who have both dogs and cats and dogs who may be prescribed Rimadyl for their pain, Rimadyl can be deadly for cats so please make sure to keep it in a safe place from your cats.

Its warming up and I looked at my legs today after putting on shorts and whoa! I didn't realize how winter white I was! I immediately contacted one of my friends, Rachel Gregory because she has the BEST self tanner out there!

This morning as I was finishing up my first visit of the day in the country, I find myself getting stuck behind a school bus. As the impatient side of me gets annoyed because I'm busy and have places to get to, I really wanted to get out from behind that bus but there was no way I could. But then I think, maybe this is God telling me to slow down and appreciate the moment. In this fast paced world where things are being torn down and our forested areas are being ripped apart and replaced by subdivisions, shopping centers, and gas stations, it's nice to look out and see the things that were there many years ago and are still. I'm happy to slow down and recall my past, and know that some things are still around; for the meantime. Be happy in your moments.

This wild Kingfisher's grandparent, I found in the garden, nearly dead, some years ago. Nursed him back to health, and set him free. The next morning, the family swooped down, past me, in gratitude.
A couple of years later, I awoke to find the next generation, a parent of this bird, waiting for me on the terrace, his wing seemed broken. I picked him up and examined him. He never flinched, and stared deeply into my eyes. A thorn had locked his wing from operating. I pulled it out, and set him free. Without fail, he passes my window every day at the same time, crying out to me.
This baby, sat in the tree, eye to eye with me, then flew directly to my hand, and sat there for several minutes, before flying away.
Intuition, compassion, good intent, those essences of love, was all we had. Pure, unspoken.
An energy that has no end, and passes silently onward, much further than we can imagine.

Stonecliffe Animal Rescue

13 years ago, my mom adopted Peaches, a Skye Terrier mix at 3.5 years old, from Stonecliffe Animal Rescue in California. My mom passed away 5 years ago and as promised, I adopted Peached and she's still going strong. Well, a little older and deaf and maybe not quite as strong, but she's still got s***k and loves her food. 🤣🤣🤣🥰
