Minimums:
Locals (One hour or less from Canton, NC) $75.00 Minimum
All other stops $125.00 Minimum (CAN be split between neighbors (ie: anyone 15 minutes from each other or closer!)
Travel Cost $1.25 per mile travel fee. Split between all farms in the area if we travel over one hour. Usually runs $40-$100 per farm.
Equine
Horses $50.00 ea.
Drafts $70.00 ea
Minis, Ponies, All Donkeys, Zebras, ect. $40.00 ea.
**ANY equine who takes longer than 25 minutes to trim will have an added charge of $32.00/hr for training. **
Clipping $60-$125 /horse depending on clip style.
Halter breaking, trailer loading, saddle or cart training , picking up feet, ect. $32.00/hr
Sheath Cleaning $35.00/ ea.

Full/midsize cattle must be halter broke OR have a chute. Minis- no equipment necessary, just have them stalled or tied. (We can stall/catch them for you for extra.)

Delivered donations to Black Mountain a few days back! These donations were collected from some of our amazing clients AND their clients in AL. Video shows the all-too-common current road conditions going up to Black Mountain. This is a place where these things are MOST needed, some of those folks are still completely cut off from everything.

UPDATE 5:30 P.M. September 30th, 2024:

Checked Whetstone Rd. for a woman who's brother in Canada was concerned as he has not heard from her in a while. We could not find her but we spent a couple hours asking around and trying to find her.. left a note and hoping she gets it somehow 🙏 Whetstone/Burnette Cove is totally accessible, but there is a lot of makeshift areas of road, though not officially closed thankfully. They also have no power. Added some photos to this post of Burnette Cove Rd.

Next, we went to check on a veteran who has a pacemaker for his friend who doesn't live anywhere near here. He was also without power but was in great spirits and was very thankful we came by.

Moore Rd. Is accessible and the area nearby it is also accessible, though without power. Multiple families have opened up their yards and homes to folks without necessities, it was beautiful to see!

Attention anyone in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee cell phone carriers have unlocked their towers for any that are still standing. No matter what phone service you have, you can use their towers. You just have to make sure and turn on the roaming feature. There are several starlink stations set up. Heads up if you have an iPhone you can turn on satellite mode. Also, OnStar has activated crisis mode. Remember you can search for other wireless networks that may be open that you can use Wi-Fi calling to call for help or family. We hope this is helpful information. This place has a long way to go still. Recovery down here will take a long time. Officials say I-40 will take months to get back open. If you have to drive through this area, don’t. You either won’t make it and it will take a long time with all the detours if there is any. "

EDITED TO ADD: "Silver Bluff Village news: There are rumors going around in the community that Silver Bluff was evacuated. THIS IS NOT TRUE. We had some flooding on a couple of the halls Friday morning, but it was quickly cleaned-up and EVERYONE is safe, dry, fed and well cared for. There was NEVER an evacuation. Thanks for your concern."

Here are some videos and photos (some in comments, some may not upload) from half mile from our house, at the end of our road. Lake Logan Rd area. A river that is normally around 100 ft wide at the widest, covering everything. Thankfully we are on a hill. We did get stuck in due to a landslide at the end of our drive, but now it's clear thankfully. Lots of damage to recover from.

"Just a note of warning. The corn in the midwest is not performing well this year. It is severely stressed from drought. While that means that feed prices are sure to go up, it also means that once the crop starts hitting the market this month and next, aflatoxins are going to be a huge possibility. The US food supply is SUPPOSED to be tested and not used, but when big AG purchases grain on the market at the lowest price possible, it sometimes makes its way into livestock feed. It would be wise to invest in an inexpensive blacklight now so you can check your feed before feeing it. It will show up as a bright greenish-yellow color under blacklight.
It is sad to say, but one of the biggest companies in the USA allowed aflatoxin infected grains into their Goat Chow back in the late 1980's and many goat herds were really hurt by this. Goats can not handle even a small load of Aspergillus Flavus Toxin. [From my regional goat group] "
