Announcement: We will be turning in for the remainder of the year to focus our energy on some winter projects, deviled egg eating contests come Turkey Day, birthday cake 🎂, Christmas cookies, and lots of holiday magic.

It is around this time of year I find myself needing a social media break and reset, and even the yard hobbits deserve a little break too 🤎

When you see our faces again please say hello to help get our posts circulating again...the algorithm doesn't take kindly to breaks in posting we have found.

Mottled pullets are starting early! One of our 4.5 month old pullets laid her first egg this morning....that's the earliest I have seen. Proud chicken mama 🤩🥚. Lots of growing and maturing to do but look how cute this little egg is 🥰

Silkie keepers!! What is your ideal ground cover for a large run? We use pine shavings in the chicken coops but would prefer something else for the runs and apparently mushrooms & moss are not ideal 😆
