We are a simple family whose love for Saints grows each passing year, and we would love to share our passion for the breed with you! When all the kids moved out of the house, Jon decided to pursue his childhood dream of having a Saint Bernard, and adopted our beloved Kat. Our family fell in love with Kat and her wonderful demeanor and loving personality. As Jon's daughter likes to say, Barnyard Be
rnard's is Jon's "empty nest" gift to himself that has grown into a loving hobby and interest! We love our pets, and love to give them full, happy, and healthy lives in our rural home! Our mama's love the joy of motherhood, and all of our Saints love our acreage to run and roam. If you have any questions please see our FAQ below! If your question isn't answered, please reach out to us via phone or Facebook message, and we are happy to speak with you! Are your pets/breeding adults smooth or rough coat? Answer: All of our Saint Bernards are rough coats, so it is most likely, genetically, that our puppies will be rough coat.
2. Are the puppies wet or dry mouth? Answer: The debate of "wet mouth" or "dry mouth" in the Saint Bernard community is a prevalent one. It is our opinion that drooling in Saints is a learned behavior, not a genetic trait. Our pets sometimes have "drool", but this is usually following a hearty drink of water! A small towel for this purpose can easily solve this.
3. Do you have health and vaccination records for each puppy? Answer: Absolutely! We have full records for all treatments, vaccines, etc. from our family veterinarian that you will receive upon taking your puppy home.
4. When can my puppy come home?! Answer: To ensure the puppies are ready for their new home and are fully weaned from their mother, our puppies do not leave our care until they are at least 8 weeks old.
5. Are the puppies potty trained? Answer: In the first couple months of life, puppies are still learning about hygiene and all other matters of life, just like a baby! With that said, we begin different training methods with our puppies before we send them home. Our puppies are usually primed to be successful with potty training with little to no accidents, have started to learn the command "sit", have taken baths and been blow dried, and if their name is known, we will begin calling them by their given name. If you do not know the name of your puppy, don't worry! Your puppy will lovingly be called baby, buddy, lovey, and any other crazy, loving names Jon and Roxanne can think of!
6. Do your pups have any health related issues? Answer: We have received report that our puppies have been happy and healthy as they have grown! We encourage our families to stay in contact with us with pictures, updates, and health. If any potential concern arises, or you have questions about keeping your Saint Bernard happy and healthy, please reach out, as we are happy to keep in contact and give information, as we will provide you with information and explicit instructions to be followed.
7. Can I breed my puppy once they are old enough? Answer: No. We only sell our puppies to ensure they go loving homes as pets. If you have any other questions, please reach out!
