🐾 It’s Black (Dog) Friday! 🐾
It’s the perfect time to and meet the pups at ARLEP who are too often ignored. 😕
Due to a phenomenon called Black Dog Syndrome, many black dogs are overlooked in shelters. Today, we are shining a spotlight on these sweet pups who are just looking for love! 🖤
With your support, we can raise awareness and help every one of these dogs find their furever home! 🏡🙏

Meet Bowie! 💙🐾
This adorable 3-year-old terrier mix came to us from County Animal Services, and he’s ready to start a new chapter in a loving home. Bowie is playful and full of life! He takes a little time to trust humans, but once he feels safe, he becomes the sweetest, most loyal companion. 💛
He loves to play, enjoys gentle attention, and would thrive with a patient family willing to give him the love he deserves. 🐶✨
We always recommend a meet and greet if you have other dogs.

The shelter pets at ARLEP enjoyed an amazing Thanksgiving breakfast today! 🤗🦃🐾

Each year, the old blue pot comes out to warm the shredded turkey that becomes a holiday treat for our pets-in-waiting. 🍽️

This year’s feast of turkey, season-free gravy, baked pumpkin, peas, and chicken jerky, was lovingly prepared by Stella and Luna’s family and friends. And adding an extra touch of sweetness, our junior volunteer baked heart-shaped sugar cookies topped with peanut butter frosting and shredded chicken sprinkles. 😋

We truly couldn’t do what we do without you.
We’re also holding Hayes in our hearts today—a beautiful black lab adopted from ARL and loved beyond measure. His family continues to sponsor our holiday breakfast in his memory, keeping his spirit alive in the joy and comfort shared here each Thanksgiving.

Stella and Luna have a very special Mom and generous friends. Tomorrow’s delicious breakfast meal was provided, prepared and delivered today compliments of Stella and Luna’s family and friends. Tomorrow’s menu includes turkey, season free gravy, pumpkin, peas, and yummy treats for our pups and cats. Our pets in waiting can’t wait to dig in 😁
We want to thank Stella and Luna and company from the bottom of our hearts. We are truly thankful and blessed.
