Meet Wolfie, a comical, dramatic, vocal, and completely irresistible senior sweetheart!

At 10 years old, Wolfie may wear a frosty face, but his spirit is anything but old. This 30 pound bundle of quirks and charm is full of life, bursting with personality, and overflowing with love. He will absolutely keep you on your toes, but every quirk and shenanigans only makes him more endearing.

After his owner passed away, Wolfie was taken to a shelter, where he was confused and grieving. We knew we were taking in an older pup, but soon discovered he had more going on than just age. During his neuter, a large tumor was found and removed. He also had a painful, untreated eye ulcer that led to the removal of the eye. On top of that, he needed a dental and shows signs of arthritis in his back legs. Thankfully, his bloodwork was good and he’s heartworm negative. Through it all, Wolfie has remained joyful, affectionate, and full of heart!

Wolfie wants nothing more than to be close to his person, following you from room to room to make sure you never forget he’s there. During cuddle time, he’ll gently paw at you or let out a sigh if you stop petting too soon. And if you ignore him? Prepare for a full theatrical performance with pouty barks, flailing limbs, and dramatic flops that will have you laughing through your tears. At night, he insists on sleeping with you and must be touching you the entire time.

He loves to go ‘bye bye’ and does happy dances as he waits for the car door to open. He’s a fantastic passenger, sitting quietly with a big smile as he watches the world go by. He enjoys calm small dogs and cats and finds comfort in their presence when his people are away. Big dogs make him uneasy, so a home without large pups would be best. Wolfie has a soft spot for squeaky toys and takes great pride in occasionally removing the squeaker. He is fully potty trained and will bark when it’s time to go out. Bath time is tolerated with grace, but the real fun begins after, when he does his ridiculous rolling and wiggling routine to dry off!

Wolfie isn’t just another rescue. He’s one of those unforgettable souls who reminds us why we do this work. Despite all he has endured, he greets each day with a smile and a wagging tail. He’s ready for a home where his quirks are met with laughter, his needs with tenderness, and his affection with lasting love. Wolfie doesn’t just want to be part of a family, he wants to be your heart dog. And once you let him in, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without him.

Wolfie is currently in a foster home, NOT at the shelter. Submit an application and we will contact you to coordinate meeting him. 🐾🐾❤️

Meet Ace, the real life sour patch kid.

At 7 years old and just 12 pounds, this scruffy little Yorkie terrier mix is full of charm, sass, and a big personality. His wavy black and gray coat gives him a distinguished look, and that mischievous grin has a way of pulling people in before they realize what they’re dealing with. Ace might look like a teddy bear, but beneath all that cuteness is a dog who knows exactly what he likes and isn’t afraid to let you know when you’ve crossed the line.

Ace is not a dog for just anyone, especially not first time dog owners. He needs someone who understands that his love is earned. He was recently surrendered to us because his previous owner was going through difficult life changes. She had to move in with someone that has cats, and Ace definitely does not tolerate cats.

He prefers women and warms up to them quickly when approached with patience and gentleness. Loud environments, quick movements, and children make him anxious, so he is looking for a calm adult only home where he can feel safe and in control of his space. He can and will nip or bite if he’s pushed too far, whether it’s being leashed too quickly, handled roughly, or if someone tries to take his favorite toy. He has boundaries and expects you to respect them. He does not enjoy the company of large dogs, but can coexist with smaller ones who give him space and do not pester him.

The best part about Ace? Once you earn his trust, Ace becomes incredibly affectionate in his own unique way! He will climb into your lap, melt into your arms, and look at you with a love that feels deep and sincere. He adores being carried and has an endearing habit of standing on his back legs like a tiny statue asking to be picked up. When that bond forms, it runs deep and you will have a fiercely loyal companion for life.

Ace is potty trained and absolutely lights up when it’s time for a walk. The moment he sees the leash, he starts hopping around with excitement, then heads out the door with an adorable little skip in his step. He clearly loves being outside and takes in every sight and smell with cheerful energy. When he’s in a playful mood he entertains himself by tossing his toys in the air and will happily chase after them if you throw one. Just don’t expect him to bring it back, fetch is definitely a one way game in his book.

Ace is looking for someone who understands his quirks and can see the soul behind the sass. For the right person, he is not just a pet. He is a devoted sidekick, a little shadow with a big heart, and a love that is absolutely worth earning! 🐾🐾❤️

Meet Nick, the pup with a heart bigger than Texas!

Nick is about two and a half years old and is a plump 59 pounds. He’s a little on the thick side right now, but is working hard on slimming down. He came to us a little over a month ago after spending an entire year at another shelter with absolutely no interest. A whole year with no one giving him a chance! We knew he deserved better, so we brought him to CLASS in hopes that his forever family could finally find him.

Nick is a shepherd mix with the softest brown eyes, a sweet and gentle smile, and one adorably wonky ear that just adds to his cuteness. He craves human affection more than anything in the world and never turns down a belly rub. He loves to be close and will do anything to soak up attention.

On walks, he presses himself against you, weaves between your legs, or flops over mid walk for pets. It’s equal parts adorable and ridiculous, but probably not the best fit for someone with mobility concerns. He is absolutely perfect, though, for someone who wants a shadow with four legs, no personal space, and endless love.

His personality is a fun mix of mellow and playful. Most of the time, he’s laid back and calm. But when the mood strikes, Nick becomes a goofy puppy! He knows how to start a party and get the giggles going. He’s a master of play wrestling on the couch, loves to roll around in blankets, and greatly enjoys running with and tossing around towels like a goofball. It’s his own brand of fun and it’s absolutely contagious.

Nick is not the type of dog who wants to hike mountains or go for long jogs. He’s more of a backyard, couch, and kiddie pool kind of guy. Oh yeah, he loves a kiddie pool! On hot days, he’ll hop right in and chill like it’s his personal spa.

He gets along well with other dogs and is happy to engage in a bit of play before going back to relaxing. He’s a great match for dogs who prefer a more relaxed pace. Even around high energy pups, Nick stays calm and doesn’t mind the chaos. He just prefers to sit back, observe the action, and let the act of watching tire him out. It’s like he’s the designated audience member at a doggy comedy show, perfectly content to cheer from the sidelines.

Nick loves toys and treats and is slowly learning basic training. He doesn’t know many commands yet, but he’s trying. Structure is new to him, and he’s doing his best to figure it out. He has learned that when he hears “Nickolas,” he’s been caught doing something naughty and stops right away! What he lacks in obedience, he makes up for in charm and heart.

Nick has waited so long for someone to notice him. All he wants is to be loved and included. After missing out on two years of cuddles, he is ready to catch up on every single one. Maybe the person he has been waiting for is you! 🐾🐾❤️

Update: ADOPTED 🥰
Meet Yeti, the legendary little snow creature you never thought you would meet!

This 1 year old pocket pit might share a name with a mythical creature, but he is nothing but real life magic. Weighing in at just 36 pounds, Yeti is pure joy wrapped in a soft white coat and powered by endless love for everyone he meets. He may not be towering or fluffy, but he is unforgettable in all the best ways.

Yeti is the exact opposite of what you imagine when you hear his name. He is not shy, not gruff, and definitely not hiding out in the mountains. He is outgoing, affectionate, and always front and center looking to make new friends. He absolutely adores people, including kids, and is convinced that every dog he sees is a future best friend. Whether he is wrestling with rowdy pups or lounging beside laid back companions, Yeti is happy just to be included.

He is also a perfect gentleman in public. With lovely manners and a big cheerful smile, Yeti turns every walk into a little parade. He rides well in the car, making him the ideal co-pilot for road trips, errands, or spontaneous adventures to nowhere in particular.

At home, Yeti’s silly personality really shines. He tosses toys in the air just for the joy of it, loves a good game of tug, and never says no to some gentle wrestling with his people. His expressive face keeps you smiling and his goofball personality brings laughter to even the dullest days. He already knows how to sit, walks well on leash, and is super treat motivated, which makes training fun and bonding easy!

If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind companion who is equal parts adventure and affection, Yeti is ready to be your little sidekick. Come meet him and see for yourself that this little legend is real and better than you could have imagined! 🐾🐾❤️

⭐️ Some adoption stories leave us absolutely speechless, and Star’s is one of them! ⭐️

Star arrived at our shelter as a 4 month old puppy. She was adorable, sweet, dog friendly, well mannered, and the perfect compact size. We were sure she’d be adopted in no time. But somehow, she kept getting overlooked.

As the months passed, the stress of shelter life began to take a heavy toll. Star became frantic in her kennel, barking and jumping desperately at every passerby. She shredded every toy we gave her and even tore apart her doghouse. No amount of exercise, enrichment, or affection could fill the growing hole inside her. We worried for her every single day, heartbroken to see such a beautiful soul unraveling.

But Star’s story took a turn the day our incredible volunteers, Tracy and Perry, stepped forward to foster her. They were actually there the day Star and her brother Shadow arrived and gave the pups their names! Star earned hers because of how bright and outgoing she was from the very beginning, like a shining star.

Star was the perfect houseguest and blossomed while in their home. She was loving, the right amount of play and relaxation, respectful, and an absolute joy to be around. But when the foster break came to an end and she returned to the shelter, something in her broke. She became withdrawn and deeply sad. She no longer wanted to play with her doggy friends and spent the days pouting in her doghouse.

Her fosters continued to visit regularly, taking her on long walks and snuggling with her for hours. But eventually, they realized they couldn’t keep watching her suffer. So they made a life changing decision: they fenced in a large section of their yard just so she could come back and stay longer. This time, they had no plans of letting her go!

After a few more weeks of fostering, they made it official. Star was adopted and is finally HOME!

There are no words to fully express our gratitude to her adopters. They loved her through her brokenness. They gave her the patience, stability, and unconditional love she had waited so long for. Thanks to them, Star’s days of loneliness and despair are over… forever.

We will never forget Star’s story. She reminds us that even after the longest waits, and the hardest struggles, love always finds a way.

Congratulations, sweet Star. Your forever family was worth every second of the wait. 🐾🐾🤩

Meet Digit!

Looking for a loyal adventure buddy who’s part athlete, part snuggle bug, and all around adorable? Digit just might be your perfect match!

Tall and handsome with a coat kissed by magic, Digit is a showstopper. His fur is a dreamy blend of black, white, and warm brown with a soft smoky shimmer that makes him look like he’s been painted by stardust. Add in his golden eyes full of warmth and curiosity and those perfectly perky ears, and you’ve got a dog who turns heads and melts hearts everywhere he goes.

But Digit isn’t just easy on the eyes, he’s the whole package. This sweet boy is confident, affectionate, and wonderfully well balanced. He’s got an upbeat spirit and a heart that’s always open!

Digit is a social guy who really knows how to read the room. If there’s a wild pup ready for a game of chase or a goofy wrestle session, Digit is all in with joyful zoomies and playful pounces. But if his doggy friends are more of the chill and snoozy variety, he’s just as content lounging nearby, soaking up the vibes. He loves having a canine companion to share bursts of energy with, but he’s also incredibly respectful of more mellow dogs and never pushes the fun too far.

Now cats? Not really his thing. But people? He’s a total sweetheart! He’s been great with everyone he’s met, including kids. He may get a little bouncy when he’s excited, but it’s never over the top and he settles quickly into his well mannered groove. Digit truly enjoys being part of the action and somehow manages to do it without ever being too much.

Digit knows how to sit like a pro, uses a doggy door with confidence, is crate trained, and well on his way to being potty trained. Add in his leash manners and overall polite personality, and you’ve got yourself a true gentleman!

Whether he’s trotting beside you on a walk, chasing a toy in the yard, roughhousing with doggy friends, or hitting the trail with ears flapping and tail wagging, Digit brings pure joy to every adventure. And when it’s time to unwind? He’s more than happy to lay out of the way with a squeaky toy and then sneak off to find the coziest napping spot. Spoiler alert: it’s probably your bed!

He once had a loving family, but everything changed when his person passed away. He came to the shelter with his doggy friend, who has since been adopted, and now Digit is patiently waiting for his second chance. Through it all, he’s remained the same gentle, affectionate, and lovable guy.

Digit is the perfect blend of fun and affection, charm and calm, adventure and nap time. He’s the kind of dog who feels like home from the very first tail wag. If you’re ready for a best friend who will bring joy, cuddles, and a little sparkle to every single day, come meet Digit. He’s ready to love you forever.

Digit is a possible Blue Lacy/Australian Kelpie mix that weighs 65 pounds and is approximately 3 years old. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, and on monthly prevention! 🐾🐾❤️

Meet Ringo!

If happiness had four legs, a big goofy grin, and a tail that never stops wagging, it would look a lot like Ringo! This oversized lovebug is pure joy wrapped in fur, always ready to bring the laughs with his silly antics and heart melting charm. Whether he’s tilting his head at your every word, proudly parading his favorite toy around the house, or flashing one of his nonstop grins, Ringo is guaranteed to brighten your day.

This 75 pound lovebug is a walking cuddle machine who’s absolutely convinced he’s a lap dog. One pet and he melts into you like butter on a summer day. He lives for belly rubs, craves snuggles, and is on a mission to share as much love as possible with everyone he meets.

At just a year old, Ringo still has that irresistible puppy pep. He’s all about playtime, especially if it involves a squeaky toy or a good game of tug. Stuffies are his favorite and he treats them like prized possessions, tossing them in the air for solo play or carrying them around with pride. Add in a tennis ball and you’ve got yourself a full on fetch party. Watching him play is like having front row seats to a daily comedy show!

Ringo’s playful enthusiasm can bubble over into happy jumping or playful mouthing, so he’s best suited for a home without very young kids or anyone with balance concerns. He means well, but he’s a big boy that doesn’t realize his own strength. The good news is he’s incredibly eager to please, responds well to correction, and is already learning how to manage his excitement. With a bit more training and plenty of exercise, Ringo will grow into a dream dog in no time!

He is wonderfully social with other dogs. Ringo greets other dogs with calm curiosity and polite sniffs, then it’s game on! He’s all about wrestling and romping with dogs who are higher energy, but is respectful of the chill crew. He knows when to dial it back and give lower energy dogs their space. He truly shines in a playful, dog friendly environment where he can get those zoomies out and make a few new besties.

Leash manners are a work in progress. He knows he’s strong and sometimes tries to take the lead with pulling to where he wants to go. After a good play session with doggy friends he’s much more relaxed and easier to handle. He is fully potty trained and keeps his kennel spotless. He already knows “sit” and is eager to learn more, especially when treats are involved.

Ringo is looking for someone who can offer structure, plenty of love, and a bottomless toy basket. Someone who doesn’t mind sharing the couch or bed with a large goofball who just wants to love and be loved.

Ringo is a Rottweiler mix that weighs 75 pounds and is approximately 1 year old. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, and on monthly prevention! 🐾🐾❤️

Katrina is still waiting for her furever family to scoop her up, and we honestly can’t understand why. She’s been with us for four and a half months and has stolen every heart she’s met. There truly aren’t enough words to describe just how special she is and capture the depth of her sweetness!

With her glowing golden eyes and radiant smile, Katrina has a way of looking right into your soul. She’s a warm, gentle spirit who seems to carry endless love in her heart, and all she wants in return is a family to call her own.

Cuddles are Katrina’s love language. She adores being close to people and will gladly lean her whole body into you, settle in your lap, or rest her head against your chest just to soak up your presence. She melts under chest rubs and lights up when you whisper sweet words to her. Tell her she’s a good girl, and you’ll be rewarded with the softest and most thankful kisses.

She has the calm wisdom of a dog who’s been through life’s harder chapters and is ready to embrace peace, love, and soft places to nap. She’s well past the puppy phase, wonderfully well-mannered, and fully potty trained! When she needs to go out, she’ll let you know with a confident little bark. In her kennel, she keeps her space neat and cozy, always treating her bedding and toys with care.

Katrina walks beautifully on a leash and she’s always up for a neighborhood stroll or a little outdoor adventure. She’s also a dream in the car! She hops in with ease and rides like a pro, making her the ideal travel buddy.

Around other dogs, Katrina enjoys a bit of playful roughhousing or a game of chase. Her playful bursts come in short and happy waves, then she’s ready to just trot around or hang back and observe. She is always friendly with a balanced energy, which is why she’s one of our go-to dogs for testing new arrivals. Her steady and reliable temperament helps nervous newcomers feel at ease! Because of her high interest in cats, we believe a feline free home would be best.

And then, there’s her mealtime routine. Katrina’s laziness makes us laugh every single day. She’ll lie down to eat, take a few bites, then gently tip her bowl over so the food spills onto the floor. Why? Because, obviously, that’s the best way to dine when you’re a delightfully peculiar little lady. It’s just one of her many charming quirks that makes everyone fall head over heels for her.

It’s clear Katrina has had several litters in the past, but those days are long behind her. Now spayed and healthy, she deserves a life of comfort, joy, and being loved simply for who she is and not for the puppies she once raised.

Katrina is a five year old German Shepherd mix who weighs about 56 pounds. She’s spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated, and on monthly preventatives.

Come meet this extraordinary girl. Let her snuggle her way into your lap, your heart, and your life. We promise, she’s worth it! 🐾🐾❤️

Meet Cindy Lou!

Cindy Lou is a bright and bubbly young pup with a zest for life and a heart full of joy. Her playful personality and boundless enthusiasm light up every room, and she never fails to bring a smile to the faces of those around her!

Still very much in her puppy stage, Cindy Lou is full of playful energy and is looking for an active family who can keep up with her love of fun and adventure. She would thrive in a home where playtime is a priority and where her goofy spirit can truly shine. Although she’s always ready for action, Cindy Lou also knows the value of a good nap! After a burst of play, she’s happy to curl up and recharge for her next round of fun.

She absolutely loves the company of other dogs and lights up when she’s around playful companions who enjoy running, wrestling, and romping just as much as she does. While she brings plenty of energy to every play session, she also knows when to take a break and happily rests between her playful shenanigans. A doggy friend who can match her spirited play and join her for cozy downtime would be her dream come true.

Cats pique her curiosity, and she may try to chase them out of play. With gentle guidance and proper introductions, she should do well living with dog savvy cats who can help show her the ropes.

Cindy Lou’s favorite thing in the world? Water play! This silly girl never misses an opportunity to leap into a kiddie pool or splash in her water bucket. She’s all about those big, silly splashes and turns every splash into a party!

She adores people of all ages and especially enjoys spending time with older kids who are comfortable with her exuberant play style. Sometimes her excitement leads to jumping or playful mouthing, but she responds well to gentle redirection and is learning quickly. Cindy Lou is very treat motivated, making training both fun and effective. She already knows how to sit and is working on stay, with so much more potential to learn.

Leash walks are a big adventure for her. She may start out with a burst of energy, but settles into a nice rhythm once she gets going. She’s making great progress with her potty training and just needs a good routine and a little patience to master it in her new home.

Despite all her puppy energy, Cindy Lou is not a big barker. She’s generally quiet and content, happy to play and explore or cuddle up with her people without making a fuss.

If you’re looking for a smart, social, and water loving pup to join your family, Cindy Lou might be your perfect match. She’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love into your life!

Cindy Lou is a cattle dog mix that weighs 42 pounds and is approximately 11 months old. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, and on monthly prevention! 🐾🐾❤️
