We are in our final days of closing down our rescue. We still have 11 dogs in need of help. If anyone has space we are offering a Retriever welded kennel to go with each dog leaving the rescue. We also have a few dog houses, beds, and fencing material.

We are going to be closing down WAAR very soon. We are asking for everyone’s help. We have 18 rescue dogs that need a place to go before we close the doors permanently. Some of these dogs came from a hoarding situation, and a few of them have heart worms. We have struggled so much in taking care of all of our rescue dogs, we have taken permanent catastrophic failure in our business and personal lives.
Please share this post, please consider adopting or fostering. If there any suggestions on placement for even one dog, we gladly welcome it. We are very limited on time to get these dogs moved out, please help us.

Choco: intact male, 11 years old, black chow mix, up to date on vaccines, heart worm positive. Enjoys being outside all the time. Used to be very scared of people, but he is very confident now. 65 lbs.

Howard: intact male, 12 years old, black and tan shepherd mix, up to date on vaccines, heart worm positive. He is not a confident dog and it takes time for him to come up to you but he is very lovable. He is dog friendly, but because of his shyness, other dogs tend to bully him. 70 lbs.

Delilah: intact female, 6 months old, white, DEAF, Pitbull terrier mix. Loves other dogs and people. Chases my cats. Currently on her puppy vaccine series. 45 lbs.

Jubilee: spayed female, 2 years old, 40 lb. bully. Up to date on vaccines, human, dog, and cat friendly. Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare allowed me to tag her to get her out of state. She comes from one of the worst animal neglect cases here and the case is still ongoing. The city has decided to pursue chargers and the person that abused is still looking for her. Jubilee cannot be allowed back into the community because of the nature of the case. She is the sweetest little thing on this planet.

Mojo: neutered male, 2 years old, husky, up to date on vaccines. Pictures don’t do this guy justice. He is absolutely beautiful. Super goofy and playful and gets along with every animal you can think of. 55 lbs.

This beautiful brindle mastiff mix is Fernando and he is looking for a home with other siblings to play with and a bed he can snooze on with his people. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, house trained and crate trained.

I love working with Fernando because he listens very well and is so easy to train. He is AWESOME.

He can’t be in a home with small children, only because his big head knocks everything and everyone over. Also, not cats for this big fella.

This is Bruce. He’s blind. I’ve had the pleasure of caring for him at the vet school.
The school hosted an adoption event for all the animals, and Bruce was adopted.
I just found out the adopter took him to the Plainview shelter…

These two littles come from a very sad situation, one that I’m sure we will find ourselves in one day. Jack’s (brown, scruffy, terrier) owner has passed away and Precious’ (chihuahua) owner is now in hospice care.

They are now looking for new homes. They obviously need tons of TLC, but we’re going to take it one day at a time. 🖤

These are some of the dogs I ask donations for. I put in the other $80 to get the puppy pen at tractor supply so the puppies would stop finding ways to run off. It also gives the foster’s personal dogs space and peace from the puppies.
Rescues are in desperate need of fosters and we try to ensure fostering is as smooth as possible. We want the experience to be pleasant so they’ll continue fostering.

Junebug and her pups are going to Colorado in a few weeks, but we can’t just stick them in a crate and send them off. They require vaccines, f***l analysis, and health certificates prior to transport. Junebug will need her rabies vaccine, health certificate, and will need to be spayed.

The puppies we rescued on Saturday need to be fully vaccinated, rabies vaccinations, and altered. There are 5 of them. We want to get the two adult females and the adult male that were with them altered as well, so they stop having puppies.

Jaq and Gus are being neutered next week, and only then can their adoptions be finalized.

All of this will take money. If I don’t get the money raised, the dogs don’t go on transport or they won’t be altered or adopted.

Last year, all of my money went into this rescue. Startup costs, paperwork, food, kennels, dog houses, vet bills, pools, toys, enrichment items, bowls, gas, and the list goes on. This year I cannot afford it. We are a super tiny rescue but still need your help. We don’t have the backing of large corporations or sponsors or celebrities or people that need a tax break.

One of JuneBug’s babies got sick and we took her to the vet. Sadly, we had to help her cross over. Unfortunately, that also costs money 😞

Update on these sweet girl: she is now with The Good Dog Gang in Lubbock getting the care that she needs.

Two vets in Amarillo turned us away and one told us to euthanize, without even looking at her.
Do better Amarillo. The anger I feel is beyond words. The dogs here deserve better, not one of them asked for any of this.

Zara knows commands. 😌 No big deal 😜

Our amazing board member and foster mama, Stefanie, has been caring for Zara and her babies 😍🥰 This is what she says about Zara: “She’s VERY social. She wants to be with her people. Did I tell you that I love this girl? Update on Debra 💫 Her blood work looks really good to proceed with dental surgery. She’s a little low on iron, but we can work on that. She received a Rimadyl injection for the pain. The doctor said “she looks exceptionally well for 17 years old” 👵🏻🙌🏽 Debra also came home with antibiotics and pain medication, and she will have her dental done on Wednesday! We will have to wait on her tumor, which is most likely cancer. We will recheck her in 6 months for that and of course will keep a super close eye on her meanwhile. She is intact and we have decided to not spay her. Debra will live out her days toothless, getting fat, sleeping, and sun bathing. She’s eating dinner right now, and then I’m going to sit in the tub with her and give her a warm, soothing bath 🛁 🧼🫧. This little old lady deserves all the spoils. -Ashley 🖤

The county is ready to take legal action… this means that the dogs will be seized and put down. There are upwards to 40 something dogs that are at risk of euthanasia. Not up to date on vaccines and some are not altered. They are struggling to feed the dogs too. There are at least 4 seniors that NEED OUR HELP. They need a forvever hospice care home or a sanctuary to live out their days with LOVE. UPDATE 6/18 7:40pm: Out of the 9 puppies, I was only able to get 3 home. Someone posted them on a local page and some people took the liberty of grabbing them 😓😩 but I have three. That’s three puppies that are safe now, will be fully vetted and WILL NOT HAVE LITTERS OF THEIR OWN. Thank you to the few people that donated 🙏🏽 I appreciate you more than you know.
