Animal Management & Welfare is partnering with BISSELL Pet Foundation and Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine to bring our community a FREE Vaccine Clinic for dogs!

🗓️ Saturday, July 27, 2024
📍The Pavilion at the Santa Fe Depot

This event operates on a first-come, first-served basis. It is exclusively for dogs, who must remain leashed at all times (even when being carried). Onsite parking is available, as well as at the Amarillo Civic Center. Owners seeking a booster shot for their pets are encouraged to bring their shot records, although it is not mandatory for participation.

Hi beautiful Canyon, this is Happy Tails owners with a few announcements! 📣

First and foremost, thank you all for all of your wonderful support in helping our small business grow. We love each and everyone of you and all the beautiful babies you have all shared with us!

We want to give Arienne (left) a big congratulations as she will be attending Texas Tech university Veterinary School! We are so proud of all the hard work she had accomplished and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her!! ❤️

With this Elena (right) will be taking on the head grooming role- we will have a few small changes as our hours have always varied based on both of our availability. We will updated everyone when we have a better idea on scheduled hours for our shop and appreciate everyone who has continued to learn with us 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Last couple of announcements- we are constantly booked out at least one or two weeks in advance. If you know your doggo is going to need a groom soon, go ahead and give us a call or text. We both still have full time jobs as well so if we don’t answer, please, please leave us a voicemails or shoot us a text message and we will give you a call the same day or at the latest the next day. We love and appreciate you all!! 💜💜

Arienne (our other spa tech and co-owner) could not turn down helping with this sweet baby!!! Shelby was super sweet and tried really hard not to enjoy her bath but ended up loving it! She definitely didn’t need both of our help but we couldn’t help ourselves to get to know this precious girl! 😍

Pet Grooming now available! Happy Tails is proud to announce pet grooming services are now available to families in the Canyon area. We offer great deals and are now booking clients for next week. Lets start off the new year with a fresh bath, clean teeth and trim nails!

We love to accommodate for difficult grooms and are more than happy to help with your fur baby! Grooming appointments should be stress free, and we want to help make that our environment.

Special Note: grooming spa is currently located within our home and we specialize in maintenance cuts and grooming. We look for comfort and certain styles will need special consultations and or referrals. Did you know that a dog sniffing walk of just 15 minutes is equal to an hour of hard exercise? It is just as tiring and a great hack when you are on a time crunch or physically fatigued!

When you look at the science, it’s no surprise dogs love to sniff everything. Dogs’ noses have more than 200 million scent receptors—compared to a measly six million in humans. Plus, dogs sniff five to 10 times a second, which we only do once every 1.5 seconds.

Studies even suggest sniffing makes dogs feel more optimistic. Sniffing offers your pet the chance to make more of their own choices and engage in naturally enriching behaviors.
