Currently we have 6 rhinelanders in the barn and plan on breeding again in a couple weeks. With this being said we are hoping to have babies available within the next few months.

Why did we start rhinelanders?- I wanted a “fun” breed for my last couple years of breeding. Rhinelanders caught my eye at national convention with how beautiful they are. The unique markings and colors were the initial attraction. As of right now we are one of few or the only ones in the panhandle with them. It’s my goal to grow the breed here. The past few shows we have been the only one with rhinelanders and would love some competition.

Why should you get one?- not only do they have unique markings they have beautiful personalities. They are big, docile, curious creatures. They are different from your typical show rabbit. They are running breeds, they are shown based off of markings,colors, and how they move, not posed. While they are big (max of about 10lbs) they are well manageable.

I would love to see more then just a handful of Rhinelanders in the panhandle

RANDOM RABBIT FACT-
rhinelanders were brought into the us in 1923 but disappeared in 1925. In 1972 they were reintroduced after Robert Herschbach attended a German show. they were then re-accepted into the ARBA in 1975
