At K-9 Outcast, we strive to build a stronger bond between trainer and dog. We teach basic and advanced obedience that couples with socialization.

We are dedicated dog trainers who will ensure your dog have the tools needed to behave in public. We also offer Bite work (protection) and Nose work (tracking and detection).

Amazing class on this rainy Sunday! We were blessed with 12 teams today ranging from beginners to advanced. Every single team did fantastic! We had dogs who have never trained before successfully doing downs and advanced dogs learning stand and motions. We have started ending class with proper vet and human touch interactions!

Can't wait for our next class!

As temps rise, so does the risk to our furry friends! Did you know that pavement can reach 140°F or more on a sunny day—even if the air feels comfortable?
If it’s too hot for your bare feet, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws. 🚫🐕
Hot surfaces like asphalt and concrete can cause serious burns, pain, and long-term damage to your pup’s paw pads. Here’s how to help keep them safe:
🔹 Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
🔹 Stick to grassy or shaded paths
🔹 Do the "7-second test"—place the back of your hand on the pavement; if you can’t hold it there for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for paws
🔹 Use paw balms or dog booties for extra protection

This past weekend we went back to the basics!

Last weekend we focused a lot on keeping our pups focused through distractions. This week we are going to focus on smooth transitions between positions while also maintaining focus!

We focus on a lot during dog training and it can sometimes feel overwhelming. We teach sitting commands for when we take our dogs out to eat, or are sitting at the house. We teach standing commands for when we are out in public or on walks. We teach heeling and movement commands so our dog can focus and listen during a walk. We teach off-leash training so our dogs will listen when we do not have physical control of them.
The reason we focus on all of these things, is so we can build a well-rounded dog who listens during all sutuations. We prioritize dogs safety, and being focused on the handler in all situations, can keep them safe.

We have changed our booking process on our website! All Private Lessons and Home Visits will need to be booked with a trainer, we will no longer be doing online bookings. We want to ensure we can make every lesson on time and give the customers the chance to book for as long as they need!
