We are a platinum level veterinary partner to Southeastern Guide Dogs, a nonprofit organization that trains and places guide dogs with visually impaired and physically disabled people. Doctor's hours are by appointment and we are open six days per week (Monday through Saturday). Give us a call for information on the next available appointment.

It's hard to leave your pets at home when you have errands to run, but being separated could cause your pet to become overly anxious. It's important to be aware of separation anxiety to help your pet overcome it.

Make sure to schedule an appointment with your VCA veterinarian to discuss how to handle your pet's separation anxiety.

A few of our Atlanta VCA Animal Hospitals are offering a safe and caring home to pets evacuating from Hurricane Milton's path. Please see below for the list of hospitals:

VCA Briarcliff Animal Hospital
VCA Dahlonega Animal Hospital
VCA Appalachian Animal Hospital
VCA Catoosa Animal Hospital

We are offering up to 7 nights of free boarding for pets of evacuees, so pets get the loving care and shelter they need.

We will verify evacuation zone residency upon your arrival (driver's license, etc.). If residency cannot be verified, we can still offer boarding at our regular rates as long as we have availability. We urge anyone who is evacuating to go ahead and get copies of your pets' medical records and vaccine history, as we have to adhere to our boarding vaccination requirements.

Happy Got You Day!! Our beloved Trixie has been with us for a full year! We adopted her from the Animal Refuge Center knowing she was on the no adoption list due to health concerns. She has absolutely flourished here at our office and brings a smile to everyone's face whenever she's begging for love. Here's to one year of cuddles and food snatches and to many many more!!

It is with deepest sympathy to inform our Baywood family that on April 22, 2022 Dr. Gary Carrier passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Dr. Carrier established Baywood in 1978. He had a vision to provide the best care for every patient and exceptional service to every client. We have instilled this culture & will continue to do so. Dr. Carrier looked for ways to be involved in the community and did so by working with Southeastern Guide Dogs specifically the puppy program, Lab rescue, and donated to the Morris animal foundation regularly in honor of clients pets passing. Dr. Carrier took the time to get to know his client they in turn entrusted their pets care with him for 35 years. This commitment was much appreciated by his clients, continued with his staff, and lead to many remaining clients at VCA Baywood Animal Hospital to this day. We are so thankful for everything he has done for his patients and his employees. Dr. Carrier will hold a special place in our hearts & will be missed by many. Memorials may be made in the form of donation to the Southeastern Guide Dogs, 4210 77th Street E, Palmetto, FL 34221
