These adorable Yorkie mix puppies came in today for their first set of vaccines. They were sooo good and equally as cute!!
Three of these sweet pups are still in need of homes if anyone wants an addition to their furry family!

Sweet little Molly came in today for a puppy check up. She’s doing great and quite a little love bug! She also got her first mani/pedi while here since she had sharp puppy nails.
Between the adorable ears and cute corgi wiggle butt, it was a good way to start the morning! 🐶🐾

😿💔Today was a sad day for the East West family as we had to say goodbye to one of our own. Our long time clinic cat, Skip, crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully today surrounded by the people who loved him 🌈💔
He was an integral part of our daily operations here, with duties that included visiting hospitalized patients, stealing bites of employees lunches, warming up keyboards, and inventory management (mainly taste testing multiple bags of food!).
Veterinary medicine has it’s rough times, but these times were made just a little bit better with a warm Skip Snuggle. Skippy touched the hearts of so many people, past and present. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. 🐱🐾

🌀 Hurricane Update 🌀
East West sustained some heavy wind and roof damage, but just lucky it wasn’t more than that. We are planning on reopening Monday, but depends on power, water, and clean up.
If anyone needs anything, we are periodically able to check any text messages to our phone number (239-945-2800), but this is pretty hit and miss.
We hope everyone is safe and well. ❤️🐾

Like many other small businesses locally and nationally, finding adequate staffing has been a struggle. We have been, and currently are, quite understaffed, from our doctors to our veterinary technicians to our lovely receptionists. We strive to provide the best care possible for your furry loved ones, however being understaffed and overstretched does not provide the best environment for anyone.

We have made the difficult decision to reduce our hours, while still being open late some days and still open both Saturdays and Sundays. We hope that this change, at least for the summer months, can alleviate some of the staffing stress and allow us to care for your furry family like they are one of our own.

Our sister clinic, South West Veterinary Care Center will remain open for the normal business hours, 8:00am-6:00pm Monday through Friday.

Pearl is boarding with us while her humans are out of town, so we’re celebrating with her today!!! Some fun in the pool and then running around the yard to dry off! 🖤🐾🖤

National Black Dog Day raises awareness for black dogs in shelters and encourages the adoption of dogs with darker pigments. Black dogs (and cats!) are often the least-adoptable pets in shelters, simply because of their color. This is sometimes, but not always, the result of superstition. Some people think black means bad or evil, so they opt to adopt an animal with a lighter-colored coat. Some say it’s because they look scary or angry, or you can’t read their expressions as easily, or they don’t look as good in photos. Some say that their black fur hides their distinct personalities.
