Hugo…my heart and retired from my program lives a magical life with my friend, Ann
Bittersweet for sure as I miss him daily, but love the constant communication with his mom.
He met Nana yesterday (from one of our recent litters) and has decided to adopt her as his grand child.. so so cute! love this!

UC Davis study… can’t argue with this. Extensive research on spay/ neuter. Those who think it’s all genetics?? If you spray chemicals on your lawn and allow your dog to roam on it- expect bad things to happen. Allow your dog to get overweight expect a shortened life span with much pain involved. 90% of what happens to our dogs starts with us as the owners. Not too late to make changes. Males 12-18 months to neuter or not at all. Females are best intact- most won’t do that- so MINIMUM 12 months. I prefer longer, but up
to each individual.

So much is talked about when it comes to large breed dogs and hip and elbow issues. As your breeder I want to impress upon you how absolutely imperative it is to keep your dog at a perfect weight. Not even a little overweight -just a few pounds impacts their health. Weight is the number one reason your dog will develop problems. As an orthopedic surgical nurse I see it every day in people. Why do we think its ok to have an extra 5-10 pounds on our dogs joints??! You should be able to feel your dogs ribs relatively easily.. not see them
but feel them.
Do not feed table scraps… yes, your dog will always act hungry.. it’s a golden ploy to get more food. Don’t fall for it

One of our pups in Houston with my friend, Claire. He is a year old. I flew to Houston last August to deliver him to his family when he was just a 10 lb puppy! ❤️ Such a sweet, handsome boy.
