Retriever Training for the Hunter I’m Ronnie Ford. I’ve been an avid waterfowl hunter for most of my life. Timing varies dependent on the dog. Most can be ready in 3-6 months. Hunting out of boats.

I’ve trained my own dogs to hunt with great success which has led to my want to help others with training their dogs for obedience and duck hunting I offer different services, but my main job is to train your retriever from a 6 month old pup to be ready to go hunting. I start with obedience training and water work steadying, force fetch training and on to hand signals, lining, and blinds and e-col

lartraing. I take dogs and get them ready using actual hunting scenarios. Hunting out of blinds. Hunting in the water in willows.

Dogs did great this weekend. Lucy got a started pass easily. She’s ready to hunt for someone this season. Reach out to me if interested and my 3 month old Chesapeake Bay retriever got 2 started passes!!! Pretty certain the youngest dog to ever do this. Absolutely on her way to being an animal of a hunt dog. She will be a future mama to our chesador litters

Absolutely the most unbelievable litter of dogs I’ve ever witnessed!!! You can’t make this up. 3 1/2 month old pups getting started passes. Youngest dogs to ever do so. This is a testament to the drive in this chesador litter and my ability to make dogs greatest gun dogs. A few pups are left. Let me know if you want one of the hunt companions you can find
